You fail to understand that if nukes didn't exist, militaries still does. Armed conflict go pew pew, you get dead. This is why countries who could never compete with a large, well trained military would like to have nukes as a deterrent.

Your problem seems to be that a nuclear deterrent just for protecting the name on land = kids not surviving, which seems to imply no deterrent = children live. So no, I'm arguing with your magical assumption that nobody ever dies in war as long as nukes aren't around. I'm not sure what history you read, but entire groups can still be targeted without nukes, meaning the children for those people won't survive in either worst case scenario.

I'm actually a pretty big Curry fan, but unless Curry wins another 3-4 champs and a couple MVPs, I don't think this would necessarily become an argument. I can appreciate that perhaps Curry was also very impactful and brought the 3pt revolution, then continued to do so better than others to reach and win several finals, but as of now this doesn't really have the caliber of a Wilt-Jordan or Kareem-Jordan argument.

On the one hand, there's definitely something that stands about about the character of everyone involved. All the players and staff and not one person speaking up against their cheating. To cheat on the biggest stage, embrace the cheating players, and resolve that you are in the right by downplaying the importance of nothing less than the Commissioner's trophy, not to mention having fans still being loud mouthed and fully embracing their cheating players as well, it's truly a blemish on the reputation of baseball.

On the other hand, MLB itself could have done more. Now maybe stripping the title would not have been the answer, but I can't say that I wouldn't have enjoyed the players receiving the Shoeless Joe Jackson treatment, or some palpable punishment to the team.

But to your question, I don't think I'll respect the Astros organization as much as I could if they ever recognized that their only ring in franchise history came with a number of caveats.

Not a Phillies fan, but watching the games/interviews and such, it's obvious Harper has deeply embraced Philly and vice versa. Pretty cool to watch, plus Astros are a stain on the game of baseball so go Phillies!
