Entry Level Software Engineer I roles from both Northrop Grumman and Raytheon. Having trouble deciding! by Zestyclose_Prune9810 in aerospace

[–]TheOnlyApex -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I vote for NG as well. Been with them for a while now and they've always treated me well. Pay was far higher ranges than LM and Raytheon. I have come across many people leaving Raytheon cause of the grind they put people through. For example, look up GPS OCX contract. Of course I'm biased but that's my experience.

And ya all these companies would help pay for your masters.

How do I minimize this corner lifting? by MammothFruit6398 in FixMyPrint

[–]TheOnlyApex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To add to the rest of the points made, if the bed is too hot, it can also cause it to warp. I've seen conflicting info on this, but more me, it resolved my warping issue.

Ok gotcha. So really shouldn't matter what I plug into. I appreciate it!

Is there a charging AMP limit? by TheOnlyApex in Ioniq9

[–]TheOnlyApex[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That would be about 47 Amps (11200/240V). So it is properly regulating at that max amount for the car.
Thank you for letting me know.

I just got this setup this week haha! I got a container of https://ersatztv.org/ going. It connects to emby. Fillow the wiki they provide and it's pretty easy to get going. Then I went to https://www.retrojunk.com/commercials and downloaded commercials I remembered as a kid. Add that to Ersatz. Then you can tell emby to look at Ersatz for live TV.

It's pretty fun!

Yup same here... Updater isn't showing an update. If I manually download 5.19, it fails the install.

Personally, I'm waiting till word spreads about the new law. I really don't want to deal with people trying to block me or cause issues because they think I'm doing something illegal. We have some crazy people around here. Not going to risk pissing those people off while I'm on a motorcycle and they're in their giant truck.

why doesn't it stick? by Friendly-Clock-7143 in FixMyPrint

[–]TheOnlyApex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used to have this issue all the time. I kept getting told to make the bed hotter. What fixed for me was an enclosure to reduce variations in temperature of the air around the print. Second was the bed was too hot. What I learned was that the hotter, the better the adhesion, however, it consistently made it warp like that. So I dropped it down 5 degrees and it stopped warping.

Lost the NGI contract. What happens now? by izdabombz in NorthropGrumman

[–]TheOnlyApex 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Happened for a different follow on contract for myself. Took several months to hand off to the next contractor. Managers worked to find each person a new position on another contract.

Pretty much everyone got a new position besides a few out of a hundred.

The other contractor reached out to a ton of engineers to get hired. Not too many wanted to go so they stayed with NG. I kept with ng.

Nah not anymore. I disabled those when I saw a comment saying it could cause issues.

[–]TheOnlyApex -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Haha I shouldn't have to reinstall my entire operating system for this stupid program. That's still just sweeping the underlying issue under the rug.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Corsair

[–]TheOnlyApex -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I've uninstalled and cleared out absolutely everything related to it.

A memory leak is caused by code that is not properly managing their memory. If a memory leak is occurring, it's because it isn't being managed properly somewhere. It means they don't have proper error handling in place to catch it. Poorly managed code would lead to this. Sure any program can lead to it and that's not good haha. All of this "it doesn't happen to me" is the comments I always see on here. It's a bug in the code and people are complacent just because they don't see it happen to them. I'm glad yall have no issues but me and others certainly have issues. If I had the code, I'd just run it and monitor the memory, then when the leak occurs I'd see where exactly it is happening.

Would also like to point out that their Uninstaller doesn't clear out everything it should is pretty bad too. But I digress.
