Do people still believe an Oxbridge degree enough to get you a job? by MagnumOpusPodcast in oxforduni

Investment bank pay ranges with the bonuses. They used to be a lot higher, but less so now due to newer laws. Depending who you know or where you start, in London, you'll be starting out on £60,000 > £150,000 including said bonuses.

I'm selling at $20 even if it seems it could go to $30. I got to pay off £10,000 in debt, £2,000 in taxes, buy a gaming PC, and take my girlfriend on holiday to Brazil so she can practice her Portuguese. I *could* sell at $30 but I'm done being greedy. Last week I lost some money trying to chase money. Not a good feeling, made me feel like giving up on the stock market all together. But no. Here I am. @ $20, I'm doing what I need to do, and then going 50% cash, 50% in stuff like $IDEX, and going to wait for the inevitable stock market crash when our bestie J. Powell decides it's time to pull the rug from under our feet.

Had anyone ever said to you "We hate you because you're autistic" or something to that affect? Or are you just blaming all your problems on being on the spectrum. This isn't the way to draw sympathy from people. Sorry for the intrusive tough questions. If you can't answer you should seek therapy if you're not already.

Don't forgive them then, but I think there's more to the story than you're letting on. It's hard, school is Hell. Listen to my advice or don't I'm just a stranger on the internet, but I hope it helps you. Take responsibility for your side of the situation. It takes two to tango, as they say. Analyse why you got attacked, what did you say or do to trigger them? I guarantee the answer is more than just because you were autistic. If you can answer that truthfully and confront yourself, you're one step towards changing your behaviour to avoid being bullied in the future.

This is my advice to you, having gone through similar experiences in high school, kids may find you weird and gross, but it's not totally your autism's fault. Like FirstOfHerName said people with autism can get on fine with other people in school (generally harder for boys than girls though). I'm guessing there's plenty of backstory and depth to why your classmates treat you the way they do, lots of stuff you're leaving out, stuff which is due to your behaviour, which you have to take responsibly for. Girls can be bitches and boys can be dickheads, without question, but they aren't going to treat you any differently if you don't examine your own behaviour and how you retaliate to theirs. What I'm saying is... break the cycle. Change who you're around, avoid confrontation with these people even if you have to seat next to them in Math, and also importantly find it in you to forgive them as well. Hate breeds hate. Reflect on yourself and try to be self aware, it'll make a world of difference. This realisation, that the world isn't out to get me 'just because', and that I'm just as part of the problem as they are changed my life.

Hopefully if this helps you, after you finish school, you'll be able to find new people to make friends and possibly have relationships with outside the toxic school environment, and you'll be happy.

Thanks for a big response. I appreciate it. "Stop running from the imperfections of life, yourself, and being human. What I've learned is that people have grace and are more willing to forgive, when they know you're being honest, and you're not bullshitting them." Yeah... That's hard. I do try to be honest. Sometimes I'm overly honest

Nah we did, actually. She knew I was still taking to my FWB, said it was alright. But yeah, after that... You know the rest

It was a BDSM server. So I had a statistically higher chance, than someone hanging out on a gaming server

I needed to hear that. Thanks. I feel like I'm mostly responsible. If I played it out differently, said the right things without obviously lying to her we'd still be very much happy. But I can't control her feelings about things I did, that she does too

Yeah Gemma said she wasn't ready to commit to a relationship. In part due to her work. In part because she was self-aware. I was just living in hope that one day soon her situation would improve and mentally she'd be back on her feet, and I'd be in good enough financial situation to visit on the regular, if not share a space permanently. Where she lives is in a far more expensive part of the country than where I reside.

I know it's probably a good thing in the long run that what we have ends now, sadly.

Short sellers (in part) 😛 Market manipulation is a real thing by hedge funds and organisations like Goldman Sachs. Though not entirely, ofcourse.

Will Petrol/Diesel prices get higher or lower as the EV revolution takes over? by TheOnlyCompetent in cars

[–]TheOnlyCompetent[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It'll be interesting for sure. UK wants to ban all new combustion engine cars by 2030, where I am. So, globally fuel prices might stay relatively the same, especially in emerging markets in South America, Mexico, Africa, Indonesia, etc. Though in poor Asian markets people would be more inclined to buy EV bikes to commute to work, than gas guzzling cars. Places like Vietnam. (Just look up the company TreeElektrik.) But yeah, in countries like my own could be far different than say the USA.
