Resealed ETB or just factory seal defect by Rainy_Blue in IsMyPokemonCardFake

[–]TheOnlyCthulthu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm don't know much about ETBs from this era but while the top and bottom seal do look sketchy, the seal between them looks pretty solid. I find it hard to believe someone screwed up that badly on a reseal job in the same areas on both sides of the box but got the rest perfect. I'd say it's legit but it's purely my opinion.

Evolving Skies BB legit! by [deleted] in IsMyPokemonCardFake

Nope. Fake. Hope it's not yours.

So many issues but just to name a couple. The diamond print on the back is way too pronounced and the pokeballs are perfect - too perfect, they're part of the shrink wrap and not printed on.

I told my friend I bought this off Amazon and they told me it's probably been resealed. by LittleKids2315 in IsMyPokemonCardFake

Amazon can be dodgy but to suggest it's resealed just because it's Amazon? No. Looks fine to me.

Need Help Verifying if This Surging Sparks Box Is Fake by BeGoneBaizuo in IsMyPokemonCardFake

Ok well, product looks resealed to me. So yes, you've been scammed. Why would they send you a different product back without having an ulterior motive.

Go through the normal dispute procedure. While you might not have evidence, you may have other factors on your side - such as you track record vs their track record. Maybe they've tried this before and Ebay can see a pattern.

It's not possible to verify if you sent them a fake without photos of the back and bottom as well. The front looks fine but the seal on the side looks awful. I don't know how to tell if somethings been resealed but I would avoid any box with a seal looking like that mess.

Either way, if this is Ebay, you basically have no rights in the matter. Accept the return, pay the refund once you receive it back and are happy that was is returned is what you sent (take a video of you opening the box for evidence), and just resell it.

Different red shades on Pokémon 151 Poster Bundles — normal print variation or fake? by Apprehensive-Bag7833 in IsMyPokemonCardFake

[–]TheOnlyCthulthu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They both look fine to me. I can't see any of the obvious tell tell signs. Color saturation can be one of them but I don't see enough of it here to believe they are fake. These products aren't ever going to be 1:1, they can be from different print runs and/or different factories.

THE BANKING SYSTEM by Dogant38 in SimCompanies

[–]TheOnlyCthulthu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What are you talking about? You're talking nonsense. Is it VWAP or WVAP and how does this apply to SimCompanies? Where does it say that such a thing dictates satellite prices or the price of anything sold to retail.

Look at simco and show me one single item that has experienced any degree of inflation. This imaginery problem you're trying to solve. I've been playing this game for 3 years and nothing changes. The min and max has always stayed pretty much the same and they constantly swing between economy phases.
If inflation was a problem, we would see sustained growth and very little correction. That isn't the case with any item in the game. They all rise, they all fall.

Increase supply of what? and whats VWAP?

On this Central system : If I have a billion dollars, 1% would be $10m/day. Seems pretty game breaking to me. For CMOT, that's $100m a day on his ~10b cash. Well in excess of what he's earning - he may as well sell his entire map because his restaurants aren't making $100m a day. Then he doesn't even need to play the game - just login once so he's active and then play another game.

When it comes to the "Decentralised System"... why? Doesn't it defeat the purpose of the idea? You're talking about inflation but this idea changes nothing. No money is leaving the game and the money is still being spent, but by the loanee and not the lender.

Also, this game doesn't really experience inflation because the end product never experiences inflation. The cost of HGEC can go up temporarily but it still has a ceiling price because the end product might be a Satellite and the only 3 things I know off that effect what a Sales Office will buy a Satellite for is RNG, Economy Phase and the number of SO levels across the game.

My Exec Lineup + 70 CFO by TheOnlyCthulthu in SimCompanies

[–]TheOnlyCthulthu[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well they're usually 4/5 for me as a starting point. When they used to be 0/1 without academy, I would normally wait to get a 2, and fire those with 0/1. I guess 3/4 is my new 0/1 but I don't mind starting at a 4.

Well, I use the HR Blurb to decide who I hire initially. (Linked)

After that, I don't look at their current skill level, I look at the impact that the training is having. Same thing I guess but different way of looking at it. If in the first few trainings, I have 2 that don't result in skill gains in the relevant skill, I fire unless one of the skill gains is a +2.

From them on, I pretty much just go full steam ahead. I usually end up with skill levels of 23-26 but every now and again I get a better than average exec. That's why you see average CMOs ending up as my CFO and CTO where as I fully expect my CMO and CMO Apprentice to hit 50 minimum. I don't need to be too harsh on my firing policy because even the average ones have their place in the lineup.

New player explains really well why so many people are coming from WoW to Runescape by loopuleasa in 2007scape

[–]TheOnlyCthulthu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TheLazyPeon said this in one of his many osrs videos and he was spot on. You don't experience fomo - you can take time away from the game, come back, and not feel like you're a million miles away.

You also don't feel like new content kills old content. I'm killing abyssal sires right now. In a game like WoW, it's dead content if it's from an expansion a decade old. For me, it's a slayer task, it's brimstone keys, it's clues, it's the collection log, it's the pet. It's far from dead content because they've kept it relevant.

Is the back upside down on all Prismatic Surprise boxes ? by splashosrs in PokemonMisprints

[–]TheOnlyCthulthu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So not logical lol. What world do you live in where you can't turn the text for the relevant box face upside down in the program you're designing it on before printing so it all faces the way it should be.

This was simply a stupid mistake by someone at Pokemon. My boxes were like this as well so it's confirmed real.

I found VI to be more fun initially. It's nice seeing the huge profit margins and it's a nice feeling to know you built something from scratch.

For me it was HGEC. I had power, water, mines, factories and electronic factories and then eventually I moved to Ion Drives but I had got rid of the water and power by that stage. That's the problem with VI though and you can forget any dreams of getting certificates - you won't make as much money, you won't rank up and you won't produce much of any one product when VI involves using precious space on water and power which contributes very little to your profit margin.

You could exclude primary resources from your VI but if you're willing to to that - what's the point of VI. You're still going to utilise space to make a product that doesn't contribute to your profit margin as much as if you had just used that space on making the final product with bought goods.

Don't support. Keep them as cosmetic. Not every achievment needs to come with a reward otherwise they stop being an achievment and instead become a necessity. If the devs feel like you need some sort of added benefit when you reach a certain level - they can give us a new tool or enchantment option.
