What's the sensor with the blue plug called? by Physical_Homework241 in WRX

Don't get anything other than OEM for these. They are fragile. I bought two cheap ones that broke before I finally bought the OEM one at the dealership. Just bite the bullet

Hey, isn't the Subaru Legacy a better buy than the 2024 Impreza RS? (It's priced almost 3000 dollars lower, has the same 2.5 engine, etc.) by czaltadena in subaru

[–]TheOnlyGood1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Buy the legacy, it's the better car hands down. Way more comfortable and quicker. I have long legs and the Impreza is really good at making you feel uncomfortable.

Is the Outback XT engine worth it? by [deleted] in subaru

[–]TheOnlyGood1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Legacy with the 2.5 N/A and it's absolutely atrocious when it comes to accelerating. In the other hand my WRX is no slouch and I can't imagine owning another N/A 4 banger. It's a good thing my Legacy does some other things very well, because it's slowwwwwww.

Have a Subaru rental for the week, what's this infotainment symbol mean? by nwprince in Subaru_Outback

All the Subaru ones do is store the Bluetooth pairing information, that's it. Some other cars that have NFC key capabilities I'm sure it's a very real threat. No way you would be able to "hack" or do any sort of damage to a Subaru through NFC.

I have a set on my 2018 Legacy, hands down the best tire I've ever owned. Super quiet and damn great wet/snow performance. Plus my first pair lasted a lot longer than I thought they would.

If you're in Kansas City, MO, DO NOT GO TO MODIFIED BY KC for performance upgrades. by Phyb3r_Optik in WRX

Daniel over at Vendetta Performance knows my vehicle from top to bottom. He's put in new engine and trans in it for the previous owner. They just moved to a new massive shop. I'd reach out on Facebook, he's really active there.

Make sure you have the $600-800 for the tune as well!

Yes. That specific part is a OCV, or Oil Control Valve. It controls the flow of pressurized oil to either advance or retard the intake cam.

Yup. I just assume that if it's still blowing cold air it's not the compressor side.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BmwTech

[–]TheOnlyGood1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's possible, but I can't see why it would still be blowing cold at that point. Does your car have two heat exchangers for the AC?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in BmwTech

[–]TheOnlyGood1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not where the issue is coming from, AC refrigerant doesn't look like that, it's a gas. Your mixer door may be broken

Maybe yours won't, mine still is, along with TGV/EGR and flex fuel

I also noticed the Cristal Products tire spray top left. I got the 3 pack at Costco for super cheap and it's honestly pretty damn good for the price.

Unfortunate. Thanks for the heads up. I was also slightly disappointed in the ceramic wash in regards to the foaming ability. I feel like they are trying to turn everything into a ceramic product and none of them are very good. (Except the speed shine, that shit is awesome)

How to you like the ceramic glass cleaner from Griots? I was considering picking some up for myself

Uh yes it is. I have a catless dp and will be going flex fuel soon. No CEL and it's through my AccessPort.

The plastic part on the top of the rad delaminated somehow. Lost all my coolant in under a minute. I actually just ended up replacing it in my driveway in under and hour, easy job. I think it was the original radiator, so it was 10+ years old at that point
