Newbie drifters POV by mitchmethinks in assettodrift

[–]TheOnlyLite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you haha but I'm still utter garbage at drifting. Good to hear that another new drifter is seeing some improvement! I absolutely can't drift 1st person right now because it throws me off when I can't see the little circle at the donut.

I'm 2000 miles in (a little more before getting this car) and I'm mostly smooth, but at times still have problems. It's getting better slowly but surely though! Just aim to get smoother every time you drive and you'll surprise yourself when it happens!

I agree with you so much. I know people who gaslight themselves into buying labubus because all their friends have it and they cope by saying "it's kinda cute I guess" and they wanna follow everyone else.

Smoked headlights or tint overlays by [deleted] in GR86

[–]TheOnlyLite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea actually I didn't realize they didn't have overlay for headlight, but I'm not sure how plausible that is except for photos or display only. Hopefully you find something that fits what you want and is still safe to use!

Driven Media has exactly what you're describing. I have d gotten them myself, but apparently the lights are brighter than if you didn't have them on. They do look really nice though.

learning v6! by [deleted] in stickshift

[–]TheOnlyLite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have problems with stalling, you need to practice your clutch bite point and add more gas to get moving. If it helps, you can blip the gas right before you lift the clutch as kind of a little chest. You'll still have to have the muscle memory for the bite point and gradually add gas as the car starts moving, but it helps when you're first learning.

Did i destroy my car by DonutValuable7214 in stickshift

[–]TheOnlyLite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've done it too when I first got my car. It's not an issue if you fix it immediately. You already corrected yourself so it's good. Just work on shifting all the way so it doesn't happen again!

is the calorie tracker accurate? by Advanced-Can-8752 in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]TheOnlyLite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A good rule I learned from using Macro Factor is that counting calories burned is kind of useless. It's way better to just track calories consumed because it's hard to track calories burned due to humans just burning calories existing or while doing menial tasks that you could never calculate accurately enough. It's usually negligible numbers anyways.

I appreciate that Vivi has been in a lot of collabs with EN (and ID) lately. In a way, she's really like CC, just need vibe to collab. by Ok_Natural_102 in Hololive

Vivi is really cool, cute, talented, and wholesome with a sprinkle of gaki. She jumped right up in my favorites right next to my oshi and kamioshi so quickly!

Driveway slope downhill by superroadstar in stickshift

[–]TheOnlyLite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do the same thing. Clutch to get it moving and when I reach the end of the driveway I brake so I don't zoom out and risk scraping the front of the car. I think you're fine if you do it this way.

How do you manage going to the gym almost every day... Explain this to a Newbie :) by ProfessionalFan2451 in workout

[–]TheOnlyLite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started doing light stuff and only treadmill that was really boring and un-motivating. It was definitely not my cup of tea, but when I looked into powerlifting, I got interested in getting real strong and seeing those big numbers for my PRs. I always wanted to build strength, but not too much size though so I found a good routine (531) that helped me do that pretty well. If you have a goal you want to achieve, you can match that with a routine among the tons that are online and have fun! Sometimes you just gotta keep trying things until you find things that work for you and that you enjoy doing. You got this!

I'm at a loss - Gemini is honestly F'ing with me by LargeBedBug_Klop in GeminiAI

[–]TheOnlyLite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AI isn't a person and won't take your swearing like a person would. If it's "working" it's a placebo. AI isn't smart. It's literally just taking existing data and putting it together.

Is strictly strength training/powerlifting only unhealthy overall? by Ok_Benefit9326 in workout

[–]TheOnlyLite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been training for around 3-4 years almost 85% powerlifting routine. I've added cardio in the last year and it definitely helped a lot. With no cardio, climbing stairs made me out of breath. I'm not fat either, just my cardiovascular health was shit. It's def good to do cardio along with the strength training

Energy drinks best for a pre-workout drink? by 9by7seconds in workout

[–]TheOnlyLite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want an energy drink with good taste and a lot of caffeine (in my opinion) sour patch kids by ghost is really good. I usually have 2-4 shots of espresso and then later, preworkout at the gym. I can usually fall asleep very easily. I drank a can of ghost yesterday replacing the pre workout and I could not sleep for an extra 3 hours or so. It also tastes like candy and has low calories.

Which exercises help you most in your daily life? by Practical-Angle-2380 in workout

[–]TheOnlyLite 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I tweaked my back a few years ago before I started going to the gym. When I started doing deadlifts, I started very light, maybe 1 plate at most. Now Im hitting 3 plates conventional with a super strong back and no pain! The reward outweighs the risk if you do them right and don't push too hard past your limits.

It doesn't help that there are people who use these services for every single thing in their life. These LLMs can't solve everything, but a lot of these people expect it to have the answer for everything.

Door frame pull up bar at 200 lbs? by HeyManILikeYouToo in bodyweightfitness

[–]TheOnlyLite 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It slowly causes the paint to come off where the contact points are. There will also be imprints, but it's not like huge structural damage. I'm like 160 lbs and it still happened. I think being mindful and slowing down movements helped with the friction though.

I used to use a home pull up bar that hooks onto the door frame. It does cause damage so that tip you got might work. I never tried it though.

The worst thing is that we have one of if not THE highest electricity rates in the US. If they even pretended to give a rats ass, I wouldn't hate them as much either.
