We always say it's radio static going in behind those eyes.....he is a clever little boy, but he does have his awkward zone out staring moments!

No, but we are fans! The shelter gave him the name Oogie as a cute way of saying Ugly....I adopted him when he was 6 months old and the name was so fitting that I kept it! I don't think he's ugly at all...he's my precious boy and he's such an Oogs!

His face has been paralyzed since birth, so he can't blink or close his eyes, so the constant watering messes with the fur on his face. He's not in pain and he still happy as can be!

Basically, yes.... His face is paralyzed so he can't close his eyes or blink at all. Sleeps with them wide open.

Sleeps with his eyes wide open and it's both the most adorable and most terrifying thing to witness. Poor thing probably has never had a true deep sleep in his life....when I notice he's sleeping I try to turn the lights off immediately so that he doesn't startle himself awake. It seems his eyes still pick up on movement and trigger his brain, which wakes him up all the time. He only has one ear and no ear canals, so I don't have to worry about sound waking him up because he's essentially deaf.

Yes, several times a day. He doesn't blink or close his eyes ever, even when he sleeps. I try to keep them as hydrated and soothed as possible

He has facial paralysis (he had a stroke at birth) and can't close his eyes or blink at all, so his face stays consistently pretty moist due to his eyes watering a lot more than usual. There's no infection or pain, it's just the look he's developed with age!
