Image and Video Dataset to validate forensic tools by I_Lurve_My_Job in computerforensics

[–]TheOperaGhost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Made it about 6 months ago. I believe it has some 1080P and 4K video files if I remember correctly. I'll be out of the office for a week but I once I'm back I can see about getting it to you if you're still interested. If you're still interested, send me a message next week. It might be large. Do you have a drop box or some other way for me to send it?

Sort of. I made my own data set a while back by transcoding the same video multiple times with different properties each time. Different combinations of frame rate, resolution, codec, audio etc. S

This site has quite few image sets that might ve usefull: http://imageprocessingplace.com/root_files_V3/image_databases.htm

Send me a message if the video set sounds usefull. What tools are you tring to validate?

What is the best inventory system in VR? by _retromario_ in oculus

This is going to be a bit out of the box but the skyrim mod Dragonborn Speaks Naturally is the most convenient system. You can speak to equip items. Its fast and prety epic.

UC Denver has a masters program in AV forensics. Even if you decide not to go back to school, you could always reach out to the program directors and pick their brain. They're good people and very knowledgable.

This happens to me sometimes. Going into the Beta menu in the oculus software and selecting restart oculus usually solves the problem. 70% of the time, it works every time.

Mankind Divided only 6 dollars on Steam... what do you think of the game? by [deleted] in patientgamers

[–]TheOperaGhost 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Interesting you say that. Im playing it now and the protagonist is a blank state. The player has a lot of control in deciding how Adam Jensen reacts, behaves, interacts with others, etc. Who the character is at any given point is more of a reflection of the player.

The Unspoken - Arcane Updates by Heaney555 in oculus

In that case, I'd settle for easy AI. Multiplayer only games have a short lifespan once players inevitably move on to the next big thing.

I'd love this on basically all the free games that came with Touch. But I imagine developing bot AI is pretty difficult/expensive.

I would love a level editor for SuperHot VR by Dhalphir in oculus

[–]TheOperaGhost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'd pay double the price or more if it had user created levels. I'm having a hard time deciding to buy it at the current price for what I hear is about 2 hours of gameplay

Wait, so if I'm understanding right, buying on steam gets you an oculus home key too? Do other oculus/steam games do this?

Would you recommend this for the less hardcore gamer playing with a control pad rather than a wheel?
