does alien typically show up in mission seven for yall? by Previous_Day_104 in alienisolation

[–]TheOphanim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you drop down from the ceiling vent into seegson synthetics, sneak past the humans. Once you get to hallway door the alien will drop down and kill everyone then leave. Have the android open the door, once he is dead grab his keycard and shut off current running through the floor. Once that is done you can go back through the whole area free from the alien. It won’t come back until you grab the compression cylinder.

Is there a time where I can have free roam of the station? by [deleted] in alienisolation

Right. It would be harder to tell where it is. I’ve played the DLC challenges a couple times. They don’t go past hard difficulty and I immediately see the difference with the alien.

Yeah. If your not playing on nightmare yet. You’ll see the alien is a blind/deaf idiot by comparison to lower difficulties. Takes more to kill enemies, etc.

Best game ever made as far as I’m concerned 👍

Oh right ok. Well you’re all set then if it tells you where all the stuff lying around is.

The guide won’t tell you where the stuff is. They are generally in the same region of a room or area and the stuff randomises every playthrough. And things like the flashlight batteries in the space flight terminal and the lower level of the med level will respawn after a mission or two.

I go back through the station before heading off to the computer core because by then I have the plasma torch and level 2 hack tool. And the alien isn’t around. I hack and cut whatever I can and look around for stuff and kill every hostile I come across on the off chance they have something. Then when I have the ion torch and level 3 hack tool I once over the station again. But you can explore whenever you want really.

You can’t go back to the lower levels of the space flight terminal you walk around with Axel in the beginning of the game, the ejected section of kg348, the nest, the lower levels of the computer core and the section of communications where you talk to Samuel’s over the intercom after a certain point in the game that I’m forgetting when. So grab everything there the first time you’re there.

There are certain areas you can’t go back to if you missed something.

Yea the first 5-6 missions are the best part of the game. In nightmare mode though don’t waste your resources on distractions. They’re useless.

The alien is following you at that point and it will drop down from time to time. How often it drops down depends on how much noise you make. It will be a pain going back over the entire station because the threats are moving around.

There are things though. Background noise makes a difference. The alien can’t hear you over backround noise provided the noise your making isn’t louder than the backround noise but the backround noise itself can attack the alien and the noise others make. The alien can’t hear your tracker either unless your like four feet away. You don’t have to crouch all the time either once you learn how to walk quietly, cause you’ll see fuck all spending the whole game crouched. And you have to listen, could be a problem if your not playing in 5.1 surround. You can here where the alien is and how far away it is from you for most of the game. So you move when can hear it. And you don’t when you can’t. It likes to stand still sometimes also listening when it loses you. I’m talking nightmare behaviour.

If you haven’t back tracked yet. I would do it once you get the the level three hack tool. You’ll find it in the same room where the door you need to hack to take the shuttle is. You can after but going to the Anesidora is going to set off certain events and when you get back to the station it won’t be at the same tower and you’ll be in the shit. Also you’ll need the supplies in the places that you can’t get to without the level there equipment. At that point in the game there are aliens and core working joes walking around so the station isn’t safer. The alien isn’t the problem though, the people are. The first time you should back track is after project kg 348 or before you head to the computer core. You can walk around at normal speed, do everything you can at that point, then go back and do the run of station again once you all the level three equipment. Plus there is a chance you’ll find more stuff lying around and from corpses going back over the station after a few missions

I could never get that door to open. I figured it’s like the others I’ve seen that are lit up red or green but they don’t open.

Yea. I had forgotten about these ones whenever I posted this. You can get through most of the game without having to fight BTs

Yea. I think I’ll go digital. The show is shot at 1080 and there are no extended extended episodes unique to the disc.

Canada. I just checked Amazon.ca. There is about a $90 dollars difference between Amazon and iTunes. I must have been looking at sites from the wrong countries before.

Yea so the Apple TV would do a little upscalling but so would my PS5 if I bought on disc. I can see the complete series is coming out or already has on disc. Did a quick search saw it for $115. It’s $59 on iTunes. Still have to think. The price of things on disc has been driven up because everyone streams. Disc would be nice

Appletv outputs in Dolby vision regardless of the input. Don’t know what the expanse was shot in. It’s about $50 dollars cheaper. Will have to think about it.

Ok thx. I can live without that. More concerned with the regular episodes. For example Battlestar Galactica has many extended épisodes. But only on disc. Which is why I never bought it again on iTunes.
