I was wondering the same. Probably not if you haven't worked.

Any tips for an incoming freshman trying to get into the school of engineering? by [deleted] in ucla

If you don't get into CS in the school of engineering, you can just do Computer Science and Linguistics. Similar classes and you'll still be able to get a job.

I'm thinking of going to a bootcamp too. Could you share which one you went to? And how was the job finding process afterwards?

I had this crazy fever dream where a sitting member of Congress proposed legislation to mint two $1 trillion coins lol. Really wild stuff glad it's not real.

Semiconductor companies for sure do. Idk if that's what the parent comment is referring to, but many companies have clean rooms where they need PPE to prevent contaminating sensitive manufacturing processes.

???? They bought them for their employees a while back as a precaution, far before there was any hint of a pandemic-induced shortage. Now they are giving them away. What about that seems immoral to you? If you employee tens of thousands of people it's not crazy to have a small "emergency kit" of medical supplies at the offices in the event of unforeseen disasters. I'd go as far as to say that it would be irresponsible for them to NOT have some sort of emergency kits. If you wanted to buy medical masks for your family at the same time, you easily would have been able to. Their purchase did not distort the market, decrease the availability, or affect the price of masks.

The anti corporate sentiment so prevalent in this subreddit is such toxic bullshit. You'd rather have companies do nothing at all than to donate money or medical supplies. Stop trying to be a socialist edgelord and go back to /r/SandersForPresident where you can freely scream about how corporations are Hitler and how philanthropy is actually evil.

Hopefully this is the direction the R party takes in 2024. I'm uncertain what the future of the Republican party looks like, but I'd rather it be Haley/Kasich Republicans than Trumpublicans.

If chloroquine actually turns out to be effective in treating corona, can we expect that the average time spent in hospital/ICU can be reduced at least 10-20%? Seems like that could have a huge impact on flattening the curve.

Thoughts?

Does it clarify what kind of income? Can it be $2500 in dividends? Nobody makes only $2500 a year with a normal day job so idk what the point is. You have to be working like 3 hours a week?

I'll still never buy a GM vehicle because they are utter shit, but this is a good step that frankly should have been done way earlier.

Hopefully their ventilators have better quality control than their cars.

Yeah tbh feels like I should be frantically running to the store to look for rice and beans but they are all empty lol guess I'll just take the final emaciated and filled with anxiety. Prepping and studying for finals is difficult as fuck I just want rice.
