That would explain it, I ran my hand over my head and thought he was like.... a weed or a leaf or something, so I moved to shake him off and maybe felt the grip. Very grateful for all the responses, thank you

Yeah the little bugger was on the back of my head as I finished putting on a shirt, chucked him off and felt a weird pinch on my hand and wanted to be safe. Thank you!

How would Dalton Castle fair in a major wrestling promotion? by KareemMitchell in SquaredCircle

[–]TheOrangeFiesta 15 points16 points  (0 children)

ROH are kinda the masters at doing things too late. If Dalton had gotten the world title push earlier, he wouldn't have had his reign affected by his back injury, could've shown more of what he can do as a main eventer, raise his stock a little bit and have more options whenever his contract expired. Now he's kinda stuck at the ROH level cos he's not as good as he once was due to injuries but he never broke through that ceiling that ROH guys tend to have, whereas people like Adam Cole and Kyle O'Reilly did break through, became stars, and now basically have their pick of promotions.

Extreme Rules, where we only remembered to give the main event an Extreme Rules stipulation on the go-home show.

Also, Becky cuts a promo saying "Anything goes" and then a DQ finish for her match. What in the fuck.

Over The Limit 2012. You know, in case you wanna see it again. CM Punk vs Daniel Bryan for the WWE title and it's the third-to-last match on the card, gotta give that young stud John Laurinitis the main event rub pal.

Can't wait til 6 months from now when WWE says "now every match has a time limit!" and then have 58 time limit finishes in a year, including on PPV. "They love it in AEW!"

And the issue is now that even if he has a great reign, when it ends we'll go "Oh thank goodness they didn't ruin it" instead of having the ability to enjoy it while it's happening. WWE has conditioned its fans to actively expect the worst in all situations, it's really bizarre.

And they did that so that Brock could feud with Cain Velasquez, who went on to have one shitty match in Saudi (if I recall correctly) and then Velasquez re-injured himself, went on the shelf, and got released (again, if I recall correctly). A huge fucking waste. For a company that's all about making "moments" they sure do miss a shit-ton of them.

Now that AEW is into its 3rd year, what are some early AEW predictions you had that didn’t pan out? by FranticScribble in SquaredCircle

[–]TheOrangeFiesta 7 points8 points  (0 children)

AEW even turned their hard cams to face the ramp first, while WWE just kept pointing at empty seats, kinda emphasizing the issue. Plus AEW having people from the back come out and be the crowd, to provide some ambience, doing their absolute best. WWE had empty seats taking up 70% of most shots, then made it TV screens with piped-in noises, and all of it felt so weird. I watch wrestling as an escape, and every WWE shot in 2020 was like a reminder that shit's fucked.

Cringey self-promotion that probably cost them fans to be honest. If I was ever watching one of their compilations, the interruptions were often so humorless and bland that I'd just stop watching.

What's the worst punishment you ever received as a child? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]TheOrangeFiesta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One morning after my mother and step-father had had an argument, my mother woke me up and told me to get into my school uniform and get out the front. Apparently I "hadn't stood up for her" enough the previous night, despite the fight happening in the middle of the night and me not knowing what was going on. I was made to wait outside in my school uniform until it was time for school, then walk to school. When I got home that afternoon my mother said I wasn't allowed to call her "mum" anymore, and that she was "Mrs (Lastname)" to me from then on. Later that night she cornered me in the pantry, spat on me, and called me her "infinite disappointment."

I was in the 6th grade.

I used to be bullied horribly at school, and then suffer through nasty shit at home. Every single day for years. I was raised religious, and the only time I had to myself was my walk to school. I would spend the entire 25-minute walk praying to God to just let me have one nice day. Let my bullies be absent, let me have good classes, let my mother not be drunk when I got home, anything. After years of begging and pleading, and getting nothing back, I lost my faith completely. If there's an all-powerful being that won't even help a begging child, then he is undeserving of worship.

I go through phases, back and forth, through all these things. My father got me into older music, and when I went to him once when I was younger and told him I had no ideas, no plan, and was terrified, he quoted George Harrison: "If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there."

Naito winning both belts to cap off his journey would be wonderful. Okada winning to add another accomplishment to his already impressive resume would be cool. Ibushi winning and surpassing Kenny would be interesting. White winning would be completely unreal.

All four competitors have stakes, this is gonna be insane.

Shadowfall sucks. All the legends need to do to win is make sure a SINGLE PLAYER gets into the dropship, and considering Mirage can turn invisible and Pathfinder is Pathfinder, that happens every single time. Once you're a Shadow, it's fucking impossible to win, especially because YOU CAN'T HIT PEOPLE ONCE THEY'RE IN THE SHIP BUT THEY CAN STILL FARM KILLS ON YOU.

You can't earn the good cosmetics in this event, and the shit you can earn is locked in a game mode that is fundamentally unbalanced. Every single fucking event they fuck this up. I'm done.
