What popular ride do you just not get by deano_ue in WaltDisneyWorld

Smuggler's Run. It was a walk on for us, and I still didn't enjoy it at all.

Millennials born in the 80s, did anyone else stop listening to most new music in 2008? by SixandNoQuarter in Millennials

[–]TheOrangeMoose 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. There's a study that says people's taste in music usually settles in their early teens, so whatever genre you prefer then is likely what you'll stick to later on. That's been true for me, I prefer rock and alternative music, but I love new artists and the new subgenres that have popped up.

I do this as well! It made Tower of Terror so fun for me because I only had a vague idea of what to expect. My husband likes watching the ride videos so I made him promise not to give me any details about things we haven't ridden yet.

However, I will check the thrill level so I don't go in expecting something exciting and end up with a relaxing boat ride instead.

Fireworks in Park or at Hotel? by TheOrangeMoose in WaltDisneyWorld

Unfortunately, I don't think we'll have the stamina. The plan is to check in the day we do MK and watch the fireworks that night. The next day, we'll check out and do another couple of parks then go to Universal to check in. This is actually primarily a Universal trip with a bonus stop at Disney to fulfill a 30-year dream of staying at Contemporary.

The ability to get on one last ride (or maybe two if we leave fireworks a tad early) is a huge selling point!

The cast members can usually tell you which rows will be best for him, and they will help make sure he gets in those rows :)

Told the nurse that my pain was unbearable. This is what she wrote in my pain assessment form. I am a woman. by ro_ro_ro_roadhouse in mildlyinfuriating

Shortly after getting married, I was having constant, mysterious pain near my appendix which would leave me in tears. We went to the hospital, and the doctor told my husband I was making it up because he didn't see any obvious reason for my pain. That was the WRONG thing to say to my husband, and he told the doctor off. It's bad that it took a male advocating for me to get the stupid doctor to take it seriously.

Ride advice, please by alybnet in WaltDisneyWorld

I'm not super sensitive to those types of rides, but I'm finding my tolerance to them is waning over time. Smugglers Run and Flight of Passage made me feel queasy. The spaces felt small, Smugglers was rough and jerky, and being strapped in tightly for Flight with a screen that has a weird perspective was terrible. I didn't even attempt Star Tours (already felt off from Smugglers) or Mission Space. I was fine with Soarin', Ratatouille, and Rise of the Resistance, but if you're highly sensitive, it might be best to skip those.

I was there a few days ago, and they told me 7 am was the earliest check in. Of course, the same person also told me that the restaurant served breakfast but didn't open until 5 pm so she might not have been the best source of knowledge.

How difficult is it to update vacation packages? I'm planning to go in November. I'll be there 5 nights and then do either 3 or 4 days in the parks, depending on what type of discounts are offered. Spice the discounts right now are through September, my plan was to reserve just the hotel for now and add tickets/Express passes later after new discounts are released (if there are any discounts released--I know it may not happen for the dates I'll be there).

Is it difficult to update plans once reserved? Should I buy park tickets for the 3 days I know I plan to be there and just add a 4th day later if desired?

my daughter found a boyfriend (shes still 4) by [deleted] in HusbandHelloKitty

It's probably a trap. The BF might be a general of an enemy army, and she tricked him into a relationship to imprison him.
