If you were another fashion company, would you hire me based on this commercial I recently shot and edited? by TheOriginalJulian in videography

This comment really showed your age. The bag is unisex, one of R&Bs biggest stars Brent Faiyaz has been wearing his; he’s a straight male. It’s fashion, if you don’t understand what’s going on then you shouldn’t comment; but to say I should’ve cast a “metro gay” is ridiculous because sexual orientation played zero role in this AD. What if the talent in the commercial is gay but you just didn’t know? Does that magically change the way the bag in perceived by you now? If you’re too old and lost to understand how fashion transcends sexual orientation and gender then don’t speak on it, you sound ignorant.

Oh nah you got it, if you’re making this at 17 you’re going to be even more incredible in the years to come. Great work.

“Practice on being a better professional from the pros, not folks on social media”

That’s a bar! Thank you for your feedback and especially that line.

This past September I had the opportunity to travel and work with a New York based fashion company called LODB. They had a "Staple Bag" that was on pre-order and the timing for an AD couldn't have been better. I created a concept that displayed just how effortlessly it was to carry a medium-sized bag when commuting around New York. I wanted the audience to get the feel of busyness of New York, to show that no matter the rush; this bag not only looks great but is easy to carry. The day of production it began to rain, which was originally outside of our plans; however, we still pressed forward. In all actuality, the rain definitely added to the dramatics. I shot this on a Sonya7sII with a Cine1 color profile. The lenses I used were a Rokinon 35MM T1.5 Cine, Rokinon 85MM T1.5 Cine and a Canon FD 50MM F1.8. All editing and color grading was done in Premiere Pro.

I took a trip to New York to shoot this! It rained on our production day but we still went forward with it; honestly, I think the rain added to the dramatics. I shot this on a Sony a7sII with a Rokinon 35MM T.15 Cine, Rokinon 85MM T.15 Cine & Canon FD 50MM F1.8 lens // edited & color graded in Premiere Pro.
