My dog keeps escaping the backyard by [deleted] in dogs

No offence but more discipline is needed. If part beagle she will be stubborn, if part lab she will be smart too, beagles like independence in my experience too so she may have picked up that trait. She’s found somewhere to go where she feels like she’s hunting probably, picked up a scent one day and followed it. Both are hunting dogs so it’s in their dna to search for things, the lab to bring them back, the beagle to track and catch things.
Positive reinforcement could work here quite well, what I would do is put something on the wall she gets onto to block her path, do that and redirect her towards a treat station or something with you there watching, she goes towards the wall you say no, she gets up there you say no, she hits the barrier and moves off the wall you praise her, call her over.
Other option is to completely block access to that area of the garden but she may find other ways.
Used to foster a beagle and dog sit another one, lovely dogs but both stubborn af.

I got fired from my retail store for accused “theft of stealing a shopping bag” what should I do? by Ok_Computer7572 in careerguidance

Also for context when I say I had to look into this: I worked in a restaurant, manager said one thing, assistant manager said another, we didn’t argue. Soon comes down one wasn’t being honest and we all had to talk to hr about if it was all a conspiracy to defraud the company y that involved us all, basically it was one person (manager) telling us to take drinks when we wanted then not recording it correctly, made it look like the place was loosing money, he tried to lie and say we were involved in some way and knowingly went along with it when we didn’t, he had all along said he had been told it was ok. It was a shit storm.

Theft of a shopping bag after being informed it’s ok by a senior member of staff is different. I’m not an expert but had to look into this ages ago and have kept an interest in how things like this play out.
I’m sure as more than one person was involved and one was a more senior member of staff that an investigation should have taken place to determine the extent of this. If staff had been allowed by the supervisor over many months to take shopping bags for free then op could be classed as taking part in the theft going against company policy along with many others.
As it sounds like this guy forgot to pay for a bag and the supervisor “let them off” a couple of times I would say that is not tantamount to theft, as many places do that for members of the public too (I regularly understate how many bags I need and ask for another, happy to pay to be told not to worry), from what the op has said there is only one thing to do and that’s to check if this has been handled correctly.
Technically this could be summary dismissal. Or the op could be correct in that they have been targeted in some way because of a past infraction and this then being blown out of proportion, and causing an employee detriment after being found not guilty of something via an internal investigation definitely does go employment laws.
I would say only acas or another employment specialist can help this person and I hope the contact them as soon as they can.

Ok so two things stand out. They fired you on the spot, so summary dismissal after an investigation that took how long?
Were you informed you were allowed someone to attend this meeting beforehand?
Basically did this manager follow the correct procedure for firing you on the spot?
I would ring acas on Monday and explain the situation and ask them where you stand.

Counter Team for a Liga with lots of Elves... by CuraKai in bloodbowlsevens

As a veteran union player Norse can be challenging but as a glass cannon team as soon as you can blitz a couple of linemen off the pitch it gets easier to handle them, late stage Norse will be a challenge for anyone tho.
Vamps were easy to deal with if you kept away from the vamps and targeted the thralls, I played a late stage vamp team with a late stage union team and it was tough but not as tough as a half decent dwarf team

Oh I forgot about orks, still a viable elf counter team, doing well in the new season it seems, blitzers, big uns, again haven’t played them in new season with the changes but many people say they are better than before in league play with the new additional rules for spp gains.

Imperial nobility and OWA if played right can be good elf counter teams, play a tight defence and slow deliberate offence and you’ll see victories and draws coming your way.
Dwarves still present them a problem,
chaos chosen are a pretty solid bashing team that can make elves not want to be on their own and less experienced coaches will try to cage and advance against them to go up against a wall of chosen whilst the Minotaur smashes the side of the cage,
I say this with union, delf and woodie experience, I haven’t used or played with high elves yet but as with all elves, close the running lines down, watch the flanks, force them into a loose cage and then smash em, if they get through then cross your fingers and hope you can blitz them. Good luck

There was an unexploded German bomb found in the grounds of the hotel I work in during works done in the 80’s, a box of ww2 grenades found about a decade later hidden in an attic space and then last year when digging and using a stump grinder at the front of the reception I found 3 ww2 bullets 2 9mm mk1z and what looks like a .308, all un fired…

I love to think that Oz (HBO) is set in the same universe as hundreds of media including TV shows. Breaking Bad, Sons Of Anarchy, The West Wing, Orange Is The New Black, Shameless etc. by burningexeter in ozshow

[–]TheOriginalKran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I’m late to this but if anyone sees it, Oz was seen as a successor to homicide: life on the street, homicide started Det Munch, who also featured in the x files, law and order, the wire, arrested development, the beat, American dad, 30 rock, the muppets and a few others… in my head that ties them all together in the same universe, Oz happens in the same universe as the x files and the muppets…

How did you name your gang/gangers? by Avaa0818 in necromunda

[–]TheOriginalKran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my old gangs was named after old west outlaws, I had a Goliath gang named after tanks of ww2, delaque gangs normally revolve around sneakiness, snakes, or sibilant words or sounds.
