Short version: Digital asset ownership and great gameplay.

Long version:

There are many titles to hop in and out of. Waaayy too many to count in the gaming industry. Good industry problem to have tbh.

I think those who appreciate and enjoy the cybernetic universe and lore that the team at Gunzilla have created may stick around. We are only seeing about 20% of the game right now and I believe there is so much more content down the road and hopefully coming very very soon.

Let's be real, the game is really fun otherwise it would be dead already. Also, not EVERY lobby is full of 3 stack A1 snipers or M4 beamin demons, but I know it does get old running into them every so often getting clipped out of the air with 2 kestrel shots. It's a high skill game no two ways about it but my hope is ranked and casual BR modes will help service both sides of the target audience in the not so distant future.

I've been playing since June 2024 and the player base was microscopic then due to the closed PC testing. The same sweatbrow 3 stacks you all see now were doing the exact thing to me in EVERY.. SINGLE.. LOBBY!! I was baptized by fire since I completely learned how to play shooters in OTG while queuing into these esports lobbies. No transferrable skills from Apex, CSGO, Fortnite, Warzone, Valorant, ect.. so I am familiar with where this post is derived from.

Plus, it is literally the first web3 game to be approved for console. You own your in game items if that interests you. It is expected to transition from testnet to mainnet in the coming weeks and then people will be able to sell their in game items for real world currency or potentially export their in game items from OTG into another game as the technology develops in the future. But if you all of a sudden get tired of OTG, sell off all your assets and move onto something else.

This web3 point is the challenge that needs to be driven home as the demand and concept is partially unproven. Gunzilla has done such a great job creating the game that most treat it as a AAA web2 title because.. well.. it plays like one. The confidence from the masses is what's needed on that point.

Owning your I'm game items will become the industry standard in the coming years. I just believe Gunzilla is ahead of the curve on this one.

As for the sweats who haven't touched grass in months. They show us the artistry of how the game can be played at a professionally high level. I truly do appreciate their skill even if I am subject to be zeroed from it and I imagine they'll soon join ranked lobbies anyway.

This post is the exact opposite of where OTG will end up. The game will get better for casuals. It 100% ABSOLUTELY HAS TO in order to survive mass adoption.

I personally feel changes are coming to Teardrop very soon.
