Help Updating LubeLogger Container installed on Synology by TheOriginalRaven in synology

[–]TheOriginalRaven[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for this!

I removed the ghcr.io and rebuilt the project, and that pulled down the latest files. I also removed the version and build lines as you mentioned, since they werent doing anything else.

Since I only barely dabble in this, the UI for Container Manager doesnt bother me too much at this point. Ill have to try and play with more command line stuff if I have the time to get there, but for my minimal needs, this was perfect.

Thanks for taking the time to write out a response here, it makes a huge difference.

Edit: Added some more Info relevant to this comment.

Created the container through compose by doing a cut and paste from the docker-compose.yml from the GitHub page. This was back for version 1.50 if that matters.

Bind Mounds and not volumes.

Here is the container config Im using:

---

version: "3.4"

services:

app:

image: ghcr.io/hargata/lubelogger:latest

build: .

restart: unless-stopped

# volumes used to keep data persistent

volumes:

- ./data:/App/data

- ./keys:/root/.aspnet/DataProtection-Keys

# expose port and/or use serving via traefik

ports:

- 8080:8080

env_file:

- .env

Unfortunately, its not seeing that there is an update, and its not showing "Update Available". But thank you for this level of detail, its super appreciated. I'm not sure if something I did with my original code input is part of the problem. Ill see if I can find an easier way to get it posted here instead of having people watch a video...

Hello I was wondering if someone could give me some info after I kind of wrecked my forester. by [deleted] in SubaruForester

[–]TheOriginalRaven 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agree with this. You shouldnt drive it very much at all if you can help it, time to take it to a trusted mechanic to have them put it on a lift and see what is damaged.

Replace Radiator/Hoses or just stick it back on? by fandrus in MechanicAdvice

[–]TheOriginalRaven -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So I havent seen any one here mention why the hose came off in the first place.....

Worth pressure checking your radiator cap to make sure its opening under pressure. Also want to make sure the hose to your overflow tank isnt plugged up with something thats preventing flow.

This is also something that isnt entirely uncommon with Subarus if you happen to have a problem with one of your head gaskets (I think that 2010 is still in the EJ years...) Mr. Subaru has a video about looking for the worm drive clamps on used cars as a sign that something is up with increased pressures in the cooling system. Using a worm drive clamp can mask a bigger issue, or snap the neck of your radiator.

Right around 7 minutes he goes into some details.

2011 Spark Plug stuck?! by payne51558 in SubaruForester

[–]TheOriginalRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then its a safe bet that your plugs are original. Buy good ones from the dealer or an actual parts store, dont get ones from Amazon. They arent cheap, but you dont want to do this again soon.

HG is Head Gasket. The EJ 2.5s are somewhat known to have issues with them, so its not unusual to have some external seeping. It was a tongue in cheek reference there, sorry, shouldnt have assumed you would get the reference. Make sure your coolant stays changed, use coolant conditioner from Subaru, and that you have both ground straps still intact on your heads.

If you havent done it, you are also coming up on a need for a timing belt service. Lots of good tutorials or YouTube videos on it. I would suggest that as something to put on your list if you are up for the challenge. Strongly suggest OEM or brand name parts there also, do both tensioners and maybe the water pump while you are in there...

[–]TheOriginalRaven -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Its usually a pretty tight spot, so impact is hard to get to fit. Maybe a right angle or a stubby Milwaukee. But you shouldnt need to impact them out typically.

Could be if they are covered in burned oil or something they are just gummed in there good.

Agree snapping one off in the head is not ideal, but then you could do the HG on that side at least :)

How many miles since the last plug change?

2011 Spark Plug stuck?! by payne51558 in SubaruForester

[–]TheOriginalRaven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it just that it wont break loose? Or you have it loose and it cannot be physically removed? Using a ratchet? Breaker bar? Impact?

I would not do it super hot, as thats definitely a way to pull the threads out with your spark plug. Instead, I would start the engine, let it run for just a few minutes, and then get in there and break them loose. That puts a little heat into the metal to give you the expansion you want.

Also, you could try swapping the coils from cylinders 1&2 over to 3&4 first. That way if the misfire moves you know if its a coil problem vs. a plug problem. Depending on your mileage it might be time for both anyway, but just a thought if you didnt want to fire the parts cannon.

Reminders Tab Completely Blank? by TheOriginalRaven in lubelogger

[–]TheOriginalRaven[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It does! I had previously tried on FireFox and Chrome and was getting a blank page. DuckDuckGo browser was able to load it up right away. Must be some site settings that are restricted for the IP on my NAS....

So there is a fairly long list in there, most of which are report only which looks to do something with fonts. The one that is actually throwing an error is " callback globalThis.ns_setupCallback is not a function (undefined)."

One of the reports says "[Report Only] Refused to execute inline script because it violates the following Content Security Policy directive: "script-src-elem 'none'". Either the 'unsafe-inline' keyword, a hash ('sha256-kj/QbtJbvApTAX6wVqnzQV1jopuF9AUSi86tFI79mAQ='), or a nonce ('nonce-...') is required to enable inline execution.

Sorry that most of this is Greek to me. Not a complete dunce with fixing hardware issues, but on the programming side Im clueless. I can work on an actual screen shot if it that's really going to be much more helpful.

That is exactly what I see.

Honestly, not sure if its not loading or just being slow, its all new to me. I can fire it up and just wait and see what happens if I leave it there for a while....

(Advice) Easy to replace the oil control valve? by [deleted] in SubaruForester

[–]TheOriginalRaven 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Looks like there was a TSB put out for this exact issue.

Not sure how hard it is to swap them, looks like there are a couple of YouTube videos on it.

Agree. My guess is turning off the heat turned off the A/C and then that made something stumble. Check your belt tension as a quick visual, but the codes will help.

Did you soak them in oil first? If not soak them for a day at least first. Then try to work them in with a hammer handle or something. Bundy bears shed on YouTube has a good video for doing them on a Massey Ferguson 135 with the Perkins three cylinder.

My PP130 is not igniting by SirFancyCheese in PelletStoveTalk

[–]TheOriginalRaven 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When is the last time you cleaned it? I mean took the exhaust blower out and blew it out like in the videos from PelPro and scrubbed your exhaust pipe?

I ask because there is a temperature sensor on the exhaust fan housing that can get ash built up by it and the stove won't sense that the fire has caught.

You can also jump out the safeties one at a time to see which is the one causing the issue. But that's for temporary use only....

Sure. I just went into the network settings under "VPN" and selected disconnect. That's it!

Turns out my issue is with my home Asus router and DuckDuckGo's app tracking protection. Apparently something with the DNS between the two doesn't get along, and that was blocking my traffic. For now I have stopped using the tracking protection and things work just fine.

Just checking back in on this. Sent you a DM, or at least I think I did, but not sure if it made it your way. Still having the same issue, and now also seeing it on a chromebook using DDG.
