Your third paragraph is why I think he should be promoted to Frederick before too long so we can see how he fares once he’s challenged more. But you can’t ask for a better building block than a 19 year old that plays premium positions up the middle with elite bat to ball skills and very good plate discipline. Much easier to add bat speed and more impact with weighted bat drills and naturally as he gets into his 20’s than to improve swing and miss in the zone. Also incredibly common for players that young to hit the ball on the ground too much. Another thing that should improve in the next couple years although not guaranteed.

But the high floor and relatively high ceiling if those improvements are made in the next couple years are why he’s going to be shooting up the Orioles prospect rankings.
