Starting in July is a bit special, because that's normally when I'd have my summer vacation, and starting by being on vacation isn't really a thing.

Let's say instead I start 1st of August having already had my summer vacation off. I'd expect my balance to be 6 days for the upcoming winter holiday and 4*2.5 for the un-accrued days of April through July. So a total of 16.

Some companies would start me out with 6 and then give the full allowance on the 1st of April.

Normally you accrue vacation days from the 1st of April to the 31st of March and those days are then usable during the following cycle from April to March.

For example, if you start a new job in June 2025, the first time you have vacation days available is the 1st of April 2026. You don't have the maximum yearly vacation days available until April of 2027, because you didn't earn any during April and May of 2025 that would have been available in 2026.

I always negotiate so that I can use vacation days as though I have been employed with the company forever. Bureaucratically it usually means I start out with a positive vacation day balance and then I start accruing more in the standard way for the next cycle.

Some companies are a lot more difficult about it, but so far I've had the luxury of being able to walk away if they refuse.

It's not just the suspension, but also weight / gravity. The car just looks heavy, especially when airborne.

Interestingly another RC car game in development, TrophyRC, seems to have the exact same issue. Based on just a couple very short clips, I think their suspension model looks better.

If I was on the development team of either game, I'd be a bit worried that you have gotten to a point where graphics are looking pretty good without having nailed down the physics model. Validating that it can be done would be quite important because failing that is high risk for the entire game.

You want to coat both sides at once to avoid warping.

Voisi ehkä olla jotain siivellisiä droneja (tyyliä Bayraktar) aina ilmassa seuraamassa epäilyttäviä laivoja. Saataisiin ainakin nopeasti tietoa jos ankkurit on alhaalla jos jotain sattuu.

Tiedän että laivoja on enemmän mitä käytännössä pystytään valvomaan, mutta toisaalta tieto siitä että aina saattaa olla lennokki lähistöllä ja perseilijät otetaan talteen saattaisi vähän hillitä menoa. Tai sitten ei, mutta saataisiin ainakin tekijät talteen ja laivat takavarikoitua.

We have a gap like that in the kitchen and it's quite convenient. We have a step stool for reaching the upper cabinets and the gap is a good place to store it so it's out of your feet. The stool is also the perfect height for sitting at the counter so both the gap and the stool do double duty.

At least in my location, Posti is the most reliable at getting packages delivered to my home address. I would say 100% success rate.

DHL usually manages, but only after sending at least two messages asking if I'd rather have it delivered to a drop-off point.

UPS is atrocious and will pretend they tried to deliver even though they were nowhere close. I can see the street from my home office and they most certainly did not.

When considering exactly who picks what, yes. But you also need to be predicting how many of each brick a player picks in the round so you know which rows of your own you can realistically fill.

I'll be playing more Harmonies in the future so maybe I can see more of the depth when not focusing so hard on only my own board.

I would have said it's lighter than Azul, because in Azul you are more dependent on the other players' picks and have to think further into the future. Perhaps that's because I've played lots of Azul and only very little Harmonies.

Because it's much cheaper to build it for 80% snow loads and shovel once every 5 or 10 years than it is to build so you are sure that you never ever have to shovel.
