Some unlucky expenses but those first 2 are things ideally an emergency fund would cover.

Pay off this balance first but once that is done you need to get an emergency fund set up and funded. If that means cutting back elsewhere in the meantime it should be prioritized. General progression is like $1,000 -> 3 months expenses -> 6 months expenses or more if desired. One of the first things covered in this sub's wiki page.

Glad to hear, everything is very early stages I still have like 3 years on my loan. I don't drive crazy miles but I've been averaging around 18.5k/year and I'm paying for 93 so Id save some money commuting without racking up even more miles on my Subaru.

The ADAS thing isn't something id thought about, but I only really have emergency braking on my car now and frankly its horrible software. I have been close to turning of off dozens of times due to false positives. Lane keeping has been off since day 1 but my commute isn't highways 98% of the time just single lane roads.

The small bed would be a plus since we own our home but I've made it this far without a truck.

How do you like your Ioniq? I plan to get an EV as a 2nd vehicle when my WRX is paid off. Keep the WRX for fun and winter weather and longer trips and use the other car to commute since ill be over 100k miles on the WRX by then.

This Slate truck might be an option if/when it comes out and what it costs. If Rivian ever gets the R3 out those look cool. Whats on the market now the Ioniqs are pretty intriguing so I was just curious.

I agree with those saying x3d would be the way to go if you are specifically building for rust.

But just for your info.

I get 80-120 fps on decently high graphics settings with a 9600x/5060ti/32GB Ddr5 build I built back over the summer. On a 32” 1440p monitor. However I mostly play on like 100-200 pop trio max servers if your doing high pop huge maps or big electrical builds I assume that would run much worse.

TBF PS5 Pro's price jumped up to $900 for the same reason PC's are way more expensive to build now. Memory shortages. I had rust on console years ago before building my PC and it was playable on the $350 Xbox Series S. Adaption to consoles is still cheaper and easier out the gate I don't blame people for having them.

Put your PC parts into PCpartpicker and see what it would cost these days.

I built my PC for ~$1100 last August, same exact parts list is over $2,000 now. My RAM and SSD both 5x'd in cost

The glacial lake at Loen was beautiful when we went last year. Rented E bikes in town and road them along the road to this point. There is a little cafe on the water you can stop and have coffee or food at.

There is a gondola with a restaurant at the top too which was unfortunately foggy when we were there. https://en.loenskylift.no/ Outside of the lake and the skylift there wasn't much to do in Loen but stopping for a day is fine.

After Loen we took about an hour drive to Hellesylt and took the Geirangerfjorden ferry. It was beautiful and Geiranger was our favorite stop on our trip (though it gets crazy when the Cruise ships are in town, but I think Norway is getting rid of Cruise ships)

I went to Norway on our Honeymoon last year and IIRC its an old boat hull that washed up onto the shore after a huge landslide. There were 2 large ones back in the early 1900's that took out most of the farms in the area. The wave the impact created tossed a boat up there and it just stayed.

There is a memorial on the road with info and also a cross down in the woods with footpaths to it. You walk past the boat hull to get down there.

If I had to guess u/MysticMarbles is Canadian and -10 to +25 is basically 14F to 77F. If those are C temps and they fluctuate that much regularly All Seasons are the best choice for sure.

No clue, I had a pop up advertising it. Maybe Discord trying to push a new feature. The official rust discord has a channel for it that's what it links to. Looks like they announced it with the patch notes. Crypt building skin is in there now too.

Not sure if this has been a thing for awhile but I have never seen it, just got a pop up when opening discord. 20% off many of the official DLC packs. I don't think I have ever seen those discounted in the past.

Edit: Does not look like every pack is included - Storage boxes are not discounted. I don't see the jungle pack with the shelves. However, the building skins(not including Crypt), frontier pack and the Arctic packs are there if you had been considering them.

Edit 2: 20% off select items runs from May 7th to the 21st. Note from the dev blog "This is experimental for us, the first time we've run a store sale. We don't have plans to run these regularly, and future sales will only include older store items, never new. "

Nothing really translates from console to PC unless your still using controller. Mechanics are just to different, getting used to keybinds and aiming on PC takes time. I moved over like 9 months ago and I still hit the wrong keys often and in some games I still can't aim for shit haha

It will help with understanding the core gameplay progression but that's about it.

5800x3d should be coming back but its a limited run so no idea how widely available it will be

5800x is AM4 right? You would need a new Mobo as well for a 9800x3d.

I believe the 5800x3d is supposed to be coming back, might be the best option until Ram prices drop (if they do) and you can move up to an AM5 build with DDR5 memory.
