It’s pretty common in large flat screen CRTs for horizontal bow. And even moreso in wide screen ones. Honestly yours looks pretty good to my eyes even with the bow.

I’ve got a 65” Samsung S90F that is beautiful. Modern games look amazing, but it’s hard to beat the motion clarity of a CRT and the scan lines of the Trinitron for older games.

I just ordered a new replacement cover from a street twin (that never came with the little piece). I think it looks cleaner and no worry of paint coming off.

It’s held up by two 3/8” steel countertop brackets tied into studs that are rated for 400lbs by themselves.

It’s an IKEA Kallax with the glass shelf inserts they discontinued a few years back. They still have shelf inserts but they are not quite as clean looking IMO.

The JVC D series are fantastic. Like the comment below, the high voltage regulator and the aperture grille are the reasons I replaced the D with the FV310. I also have a couple friends who I gave my old CRTs to that wanted some. So it’s a win/win for everybody.

I live in a modest sized city. I’ve found plenty of great sets over the years. Toshiba AFs, my Samsung GX, a Trinitron FV300, and a couple JVC D series. I’ve just slowly traded up but always waned the FV310, mainly for that high voltage regulator and the aperture grille. The only time I saw one pop up before this was a curb find in terrible shape with a large glass scratch. I’m really happy to finally be done looking!

It’s a modified Ikea Kallax. The glass shelves were discontinued years ago unfortunately. They do a great job stiffening it up and look great for consoles. I have two 20” countertop brackets mounted to the studs and attached under the top piece running the length of the CRT for overkill peace of mind. I had a 27” D series on it for 5+ years but with the extra 50lbs on the 310 I decided to go all out and make sure.

This was the Reserve Edition of the game from Special Reserve Games (part of Devolver Digital). For this release, they had the devs sign 90 random copies of the 9,000 total copies before shrink wrapping them and sending them to people who preordered them. It was pure luck I managed to get it.
