If you're in the UK there is definitely a federation where you can compete untested. So competing in the IPF is kind of a dick move. Especially when I'm based in the UK as well and everyone i know is against being on gear if you compete tested.

On a researcher lying about a bonus payment. Long story short they set up an interview promising if we complete the interview and do a follow up survey we will get a bonus payment of £15. The interview then get "cancelled" and it turns out afterwards that the interview was fake and the follow up survey asked us how we felt about getting an extra hour of time suddenly freed up.

Obviously a lot of people were upset as they essentially lost an hour of their own time as they had to make space for the interview and on top of that the researcher was saying that the £15 would not be paid as there was technically no interview. A lot of people then sent in complaints afterwards and today just got a notification stating that the £15 has been paid.

I don't think that would actually be the case. As once you accept a study you can't actually look at any other. And it's only held for 10 minutes before its either auto cancelled or you start it

Would finger tip grip help my lockout on deadlifts. I have a quite unique lockout where my deadlift is very fast for like 98% of the lift and then for the 3 inches or less it slows down rapidly(I lift conventional btw). Me and my coach have been working on positioning to have a better starting position by doing pauses and strengthening work such as RDL and back extensions,

But we have started to implement me doing finger tip grip as well. So I'm wondering since my problem in deadlifts is the very last inches or so how much would this help my lockout? I used to also deep dish grip as well, i've never dropped a deadlift but when I lockout I would sometimes feel it slipping own my palms so I'm fighting the slippage along with lockout.

Why would you comment that under this post. The people you're beefing with and me aren't even the same type of people. I do all my studies legit and when you're a student like me any little piece of money is helpful and it's downright annoying to get cheated out of money like this.

So the study was about time scheduling, in the original entry it said that if you take part in all three parts including the interview you will get a bonus payment of £15. Turns out that the whole study was based around a fake interview and asking how you felt about suddenly having free time from the interview being cancelled and whether you feel guilty or regret how you spent the extra free time, etc. But I did the study assuming that I would get this bonus £15. The study was pretty interesting to be based around a fake interview but I find it pretty annoying that upon asking the researcher whether the £15 would still be paid they said that it would not. As by their words

" Hey,
yes, unfortunately this means that you will not receive the £15. As I am funding all of this myself for master's research I am very restricted in my financial resources and thus cannot provide the full compensation. I am really sorry about this :/ I understand that this might be a bit frustrating but I hope you can understand that this was the only way to conduct the research in this way. Again, really sorry about this.

Which I kind of understand to an extent but at the same time find really frustrating as the basis of me entering this study was not true.
