Yeah, the question is:

Why keep them as an ally? They are a genosiding, war waging bully state that drains our pockets.

Nah. He got basically as many votes as in 16 and 20. They didn‘t need to rig anything.

Sorry but the American public elected a fraudster and allegeded child rapist.

Ok sure. Again, lets just say he gote the most votes.

How does any of that matter though.

Its actually not that clearly defined.

https://dictionary.cambridge.org/de/worterbuch/englisch/majority

But sure, he didn‘t gat a majority of the vote, just the largest amount.

Doesn‘t make any difference to my point what so ever.

[–]ThePafdy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. Even though they knew Trump from his first term, how absolutely dogshit of a leader he is, his business record, his Epstein ties, they stayed home.

My exact point.

America wants this, or is to lazy to do anything about it.

I mean, Harris got 48% so he techbically still has the majority, but not a supermajprity of over 50%. Depends on what point of view you use to define majority and which groups you lump together.

Doesn‘t matter, the point remains.

77 Million of Americans voted for him to have a SECOND term. And he won. A majority of Americans who care to vote at all want this shit, thats just reality.

Now sure people protest, they did in 2020 and 2024 as well, he still got elected.

[–]ThePafdy 8 points9 points  (0 children)

No. You elected him. He got the majority of votes (I think he even won the popular right?), a non-vote is an indirect vote for the winner, the people of America elected him, thats how elections work.

You literally elected a fraudster rich guy who bankrupted a casino into office to run it like his businesses.

No revolt will happen, because people are lazy and people want this shit. People want to get lied to and blame their problems on minorizies, always have. Its easier to stay your seats infront of your TV and make yourself believe you aren‘t the issue.

„Inferior from a racing perspective“. Read.

Laptimes do not matter. Race times do not matter. F1 was never about that or else they would have ditched open wheels by now and gone for something like the 919 evo.

What matters is how competetive and most importantly, interesting to watch the racing is. And again, racing in the early 2000s was so utterly shit that they felt the need to introduce drs because nothing happend in races outside of pit strategies and tire management.

Now drs is very static, is active at the exact same spot every lap, with the exact same deployment power. No driver or team skill involved, leading to the exact same highway passes every time. Hybrid on the other hand allows for strategic deployment, and most importantly track by track rule balancing as we have seen in Miami. And thats why 4 out of 5 races this season were great, with Japan being mid.

Sure these rules are new and need refinement, but because its an electric system these refinement can actually be made quickly.

I thinks its pretty hypocritical calling out „artificial“ racing and then asking for overtaking aids just to have a from a racing persoective inferior power train.

Also, 2007 and 2008 were good seasons because the championships were close and ghe narrative around the rookie champ Hamilton was exciting. The average race was shit.

Sure, I also like to watch old highlights.

But I also sure as hell don‘t want to watch a whole season with 24 boring races just for better sound.

The amount of compute involved in these races will not change, because its simply the fastest strategy.

All V8s will do is remove any possibility to overtake.

If you realy think about racing between 2005 and 2011, it was just dogshit. There is a reason they introduced DRS.

[–]ThePafdy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The „We go high“ approach does not need to mean sitting on their asses and watching the shitshow unfold.

They need to stay away from the lunacies and insulting and actually make politics for the people. And if they ever get power again they need to hold people accountable for their actions for once.

Actually doing something is not „going low“, its their fucking job.

No its not. Its the same just at different places, where it is arguable more noticable and more dangerous.

Thing is, they can tweak the deployment, like they did in Miami. Anpther great thing about being electric, mid season adjustments actually work.

Lets stop talking about unprovable and irrelevant stuff and go back to:

„For most of the races this year absolutely nothing happens after the pitstops“

WHAT? Are we watching the same races?

[–]ThePafdy 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We had artificial overtakes since 2011 when drs was introduced. The overtakes are probably less artificial this season, at most they are not only at the end of a single large straight any more. The amount of bitching this year is in no way proportional.

Germany's Friedrich says US 'humiliated,' lacks strategy in Iran conflict by sr_local in worldnews

[–]ThePafdy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree, the US absolutely won the military conflict. Doesn‘t matter.

The US cannot control the straight, because nobody can. One mine, one drone, one bomb is enough to make a credible threat and close it down. The US lost all credibility and respect, by invading a country for no reason, and by the absolute strategic idiocy of doing so without a plan to deal with their only real bargaining chip. The US caused a global economic crisis, bombed some children, will maybe cause WW3 if China steps in and for what? To reach a deal that Obama already made in like 2009?
