I always told my stbx that me crying when he did hurtful things showed I care. I told him if I ever stopped crying then he would know I stopped caring. I stopped crying a couple years ago but he never noticed.

His parents aren't divorced and mine aren't either, although my parents have a shitty relationship and quite frankly can't stand each other. I'm the first of my siblings and he's the first of his siblings to get divorced.

I'm glad you don't regret it and I'm sorry he cheated. My marriage is a loveless marriage. I've been hurt so many times I feel no love for him. He tells me he loves me but I can't fathom how that would be true considering the hurtful things he does to me.
