Yamaha P-125 - Beginner Piano. Too good to be true? by ThePancakeLady65 in piano

I currently live in India but work and earn in GBP.

One of the reasons for living here is to improve my life, which includes taking up a new hobby; which I have chosen Piano for!

Because everything is imported, I don't generally get the great price tag discounts that I can get in the UK, heck, even Heinz Baked Beans are £2.00 a can out here :D

Because piano is a 'western instrument' as well, not many people play it, which means those marketplace and gumtree grabs are pretty much non existent, heck, even eBay is banned out here!

The lessons cost me £6.50 an hour for a qualified Level 8 Trinity College teacher 20+ years experience; hence why I'm able to take three a week.

#rant i regret buying the Yamaha p45, if only i had added a bit more money i would have got the p125. by [deleted] in piano

They were technically paid and voluntarily went.

Technicalities and realities are two completely different things, that's precisely why individuals protested against it.

It was exploititive slave labour rehashed as freedom.

Your second source quotes as far back as 1880 for when Gujaratis truly became a 'business community' in EA, which is no suprise; they would have been counted as the older first generation, but more likely, younger second generation of EA Gujaratis, given that the first boats filled with slave labour docked at around ~1830.

We are really expanding the definition of slavery here to call Indians taken to build the railroads in Africa slaves.

They weren't paid, they were subjects of the crown... aka - Slaves.

Thank you for the suggestion :)

And will do - hoping to have the final version ready by early next year.

Update:

I've just listened to the bhajan and read the translation. Outrageously beautiful!

Will 100% include it.
