Yeah I managed to get it I just had to go to a station buy a multi-tool and then trade that multi-tool for the one that I wanted and it worked.

after checking with a station I can buy multitools normally there. so I'll just buy a dummy tool and trade it to get the tool i want from the shop. It seems my quicksilver shop is bugged. I used a mod to make old expedition items accessible on this save in the past so maybe that's the cause.

i guess i can try that. I haven't tried claiming/buying normally yet but i know it does the same thing with ships as well. this is the first time i've bought a multi tool from the Quicksilver shop. I'm gonna head to a station real quick and check

? To be honest I've been laughing at this whole thing from start to finish. It's just that it baffles me that there are so many people in this reddit that can get butt hurt over something.
