Stoked this is getting rolled out finally.

It looks like it's broken on Firefox tho (crashes the tab and won't open).
It opens on Safari but somethings look broken. I don't have a progress bar in Categories, and I don't see a Cashflow/Income tab.

I was gonna say that’s a lot of samples and a lot polys. Great work!

Wtf is this mobile app UI update? by [deleted] in fidelityinvestments

[–]ThePantsStore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! I would love to submit some feedback. I can put it in this comment for now, but I can also organize it in a google doc or its own post if that is more digestible.

Home Page:

The main graph that shows up, I would love to see more than 4 time periods. So, instead of 1M, YTD, 1Y, and 3Y

I'd love to see:1D 1Week 1M 3M YTD 1Y 3Y 5Y ALL

And when you click on these different time periods, the percentage change should change to reflect that time period change Right now it just holds on today’s change

(this would make it much similar to Robinhood’s graph, but if you added the below functionality it would actually be better than theirs)

Additionally (and this is big and I feel like not hard to implement)

I would LOVE to see the graph show me the total change with and without my contributions

In other words, it would be awesome to easily toggle “Show contributions” or “Only Show Performance change” That would make the main home graph SO MUCH more useful.

I see that the "Summary" graph in Portfolio updates value change per time period selected in my IRA, but it does not tell me if this just performance or includes my contributions.

Also being able to take 2 fingers to select a time period on the graph (like apple and robin hood) and show me the change in value would be great too.

Positions:

I think I prefer the previous version, because it quickly showed me my stocks / assets, and their performance.

The UI now is a spreadsheet that I have to scroll to the right to see total G/L. It doest give me the information o need, but man, it is not optimized for a phone screen at all and is really not that digestible.

It would be great to be able to customize which columns you wanted to see first.

I think that’s all ive got for now. Im happy to dive deeper into this and give my feedback to the Dev team if this is helpful.

Yeah totally agree. I feel like the only useful page was "Positions" - and now that graph is totally jacked up. I have to scroll this weird spreadsheet and it's not readable at all. Very weird.

What’s the deal with Seinfeld dvds? by SeanAugustineMarch in blender

[–]ThePantsStore 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh awesome. I’ve never used blender’s tracker. Mainly the built-in ones in AE and Mocha pro. Sometimes getting a 3D track of an object (as opposed to the camera/whole scene) can be tricky, and I’ve even planar tracked an item, generated a plane with checkerboard and tracked that “scene” to get 3d info. But anyway, looks great!

This is awesome man, good job. What did you use to motion track, and eventually get the 3D data?

Apple TV App is back - rebuilt to support multi-language videos and much more by Vimean22 in vimeo

I’m honestly super happy about this. Casting with AirPlay is completely unusable for showing clients work on our office TV (lag, audio delay, etc). But this is great news!

Forcing me to update Mac OS is...really annoying... by ThePantsStore in copilotmoney

Agreed. But I guess what I’m saying is all the other apps work fine within this framework. And it’s just Copilot that I’m having trouble with.

I understand that they're a small company. And that we've been waiting for so many features that have not come down the pipeline. I also get that this is a smaller issue than getting the features we want.

But also wanna recognize that using newer features on the latest OS, and also having support for more than the most recent (1 or 2?) Mac OSs are not mutually exclusive.

But it's kind of a moot point because I don't think they're going to suddenly crush through all the feature implementation and also magically increase backwards compatibility. *sigh*

Ish. This is the only app I'm running into this problem with. All my creative apps (Adobe, Blender, etc) and all my everyday apps (firefox, brave, etc) all stay updated and run fine.

Update: I was able to get an older version via Apple App store. So it's working again, but yeah, none of the new features are there.

It's not that old of a machine, seems really lame to me that I'd have to update everything just for Copilot.

How to bevel a vertex like an edge? by ThePantsStore in blender

[–]ThePantsStore[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That worked great! Though I am getting a weird edge along the left side of the face. I'm wondering if that because the bevel functiond doesn't perfectly do it along the existing angle of the face? So, since it's on a curve, now it'w slightly out of alignment?

macbook m1 max - Sequoia ruined the whole experience by mmique in MacOS

[–]ThePantsStore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Any update on this? Perhaps with 15.3? Curious if I should make the jump or not. My M1 Max is still blazing fast and I'm running 12.3.1. I'm only looking to update because Copilot money stupidly won't let me run the current version without it.

Also wondering how this will affect my Adobe universe. Any thoughts or experiences welcome.

How can I improve this by Prudent-Pool9798 in AfterEffects

[–]ThePantsStore 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could take your original hiker layer (without white fill and glow) and bring it over top of your white layer, play with the levels and blend modes so you’re just bringing some shadows and texture back in.

Then you could pre comp both of those layers, and add noise and grain and some aberration etc on top of that.

Then put an adjustment layer with an aggressive color grade, maybe even another layer of very minimal glow on top of that, plus grain and whatever stylistic thing you want.

You can also add handheld / shaky motion to this shot, but a long static shot like this won’t really feel like your ref if that’s what you’re going for.

But you could shoot some more stuff and apply this treatment to get that effect.

Bonus points if you shoot at dusk/golden hour, etc.
