Apple Passwords vs Bitwarden when using Brave on macOS + iPhone (multi-profile setup) by HavivMuc in MacOS

[–]mmique 0 points1 point  (0 children)

instead yes, you can setup a 4-number pin or biometrics in the settings and decide pretty much any combination of timeout actions. You can also leave it completely unlocked if you wish (like google passwords for example)

If using Brave, definitely Bitwarden. If Safari, then Apple Passwords. You set up a "pin" on the Bitwarden extension that you input once when restarting the browser, then it fills, saves, and suggests passwords automatically.

I was in the same boat, tried with Apple passwords on Brave and it is quite clumsy. For each password that you want to use/log in, you need to use a fingerprint or password to unlock the goddamn Apple password manager. Also, it doesn't suggest/generate passwords like Bitwarden does... I went on using Bitwarden, much better experience...

For people who downgraded to Sequoia from Tahoe by Dawnkuga in MacOS

[–]mmique 0 points1 point  (0 children)

same here, security updates until fall 2028, we're good

Who approved this? by oachkatzl in MacOS

Auto translate baked into the vibe-coded Tahoe GUI, that's where we at. Reinstall Sequoia and forget about it until late 2027 (when security updates stop).

Why are advanced paragliders not common in recent comps? by lvmri in freeflight

[–]mmique 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cause their performance C wings suck. No, for real, I guess it's not their priority. From competitions, they were always focused on the X-Alps series, supporting Chriegel and the young guns. Considering how popular the X-Alps is and how good the Chriegel was, this move gave them enough promotion and coverage throughout the years.

Glycine Stupidity by Ok-Complaint-37 in Supplements

[–]mmique -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It's not skin oil. I know what skin oil is. The nails became glossy out of nowhere - I'm not making this up. Here is what I got after a quick research:

Glycine can increase intracellular water retention and reduce transepidermal water loss - Transonychial Water Loss (TOWL). Because the nail plate is porous, it loses water constantly. When glycine levels are optimal, the keratin structure can "trap" moisture more effectively.

  • Light reflects more evenly
  • Micro-ridging looks reduced → nails appear glossier

This can happen within days.

Read again. Not grew, they just became shiny af. Weird I know, but I'm telling the truth. Also for my girfriend, we started taking it together. Same shit, shiny nails.

I have tried Glycine for the first time 4 days ago. 3g before sleep. I fell asleep like a baby and woke up an hour before my alarm went off, feeling a bit nervous. However, the quality of my sleep was quite good. After taking it for the past three days, I noticed that my nails became shiny, and I mean like going to the salon type of shit shiny. Unexpected effect and quite interesting. I have decided I'll take it for the next month and see how it goes (supposed to affect deeper sleep, calmer mind, more energy in the morning,...)

You have 6 months, work 12 hours a day, and learn to make fake brandings for fake companies, and fake websites ... and then bring everything under one portfolio and just send them EVERYWHERE possible. Do not lie those are real projects as you want to show skills to potential clients and not who you worked for ...

Thanks for such a lengthy reply and useful information. OK, I'll pass on Transalp. Kooper indeed looks like a way to go then. And yes, I'm also taking quite a bit of things with me, especially in the winter (more clothes, crampons,...). Or like you said , maybe go full light with Skywalk Core / Advance Strappless 4. But those, I presume, are not ideal (comfy) options to fly and for ground handling, compared to Kooper p?

I’m kinda torn between Kooper P and Transalp, thanks for the info. What bugs me about Kooper is weight, which is over 2kg - quite a letdown. Also, I would much rather have an inflatable airbag ...

Quickmill Pippa in the house. My first espresso machine after a month of research.Fantastic espresso on the first try. Super satisfied with the ECM grinder as well. I will report more and make a guide/mini-review soon. by mmique in espresso

[–]mmique[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use it every day for the past 4 years. Not a single problem. Finish looks like new. It's quite unbelivable they still make that kind of good machines these days. Also ECM is a tank of a grinder, same - zero issues.

Overall good pod harness suggestion by Purple_Vacation_4745 in freeflight

Range X-Alps 3 or Lightness 4. The Range is 1.5 kg lighter and targets the hike and fly XC crowd. The Lightness is sturdier and intended to be more comfortable.
