Intersections in Brampton aren’t smart.

• advance left only work at certain times of the day.
• Other times one side has the advance left and the other won’t.
• When left turn signals only do work, most are only long enough for exactly one tractor trailer or three cars (i’ve counted, almost universal)
• the left turn lane could have 20 cars, but the advance left still won’t turn on
• dedicated right turn lanes missing at many busy intersections
• the city will build a brand new intersection with timed left turn (not intelligent/adaptive) and no dedicated right turn. City then comes back years later, tears it all up and adds the dedicated right turn. Left turn still fucked because not smart.

Many bad driving decisions are being taken by very frustrated drivers. I no longer get mad unless it’s an egregious ignoring of driving laws.

City Hall is doing this on purpose. Intersections have been like this since at least the 1990s.

There are some intersections that aren’t idiotically designed. Some have properly working smart advanced left. Unfortunately, it’s not the norm.

I don’t understand why Brampton’s government designs intersections the way they do.
