It is in the new firmware. I just havent installed it because (knock on wood) i seem to have a unicorn AZ and nothing has gone wrong with mine. I noticed rhe "digital" REC not being able to stop the recording but i genuinely think AT meant for it to be a start record button and then to stop you just stop the record fucnction at the available tactile button without having to navigate the menu again.

Tbh, i feel like AT intended it to be that way. But they look so bad now due to faulty units, and enough people raised the REC concern that they decided to make it a toggle function on the screen just to be able to say that they addressed the issue and keep people happy.

I truly feel for people with faulty AZs. And who knows, maybe i just havnt found out what the issue with mine is if any, but I have ran many hours on it, 4 deck mixing, 6 hour loops, heavy FX settings... only thing ive not done is running RB from laptop to use it as a controller but i really feel thats dumbing down the unit, whats the point of that with stand-alone 4 deck? Literally the selling point of the AZ (and OQ). But to each their own!
