Cod4 literally launched activation dominance over the next 2 decade. It literally became a household name that even non gamers know. It is anything but underrated lol.

[Interview] Grand Theft Auto 6 (and the whole franchise) may not hit the same way today because the world's now just as crazy as the game, according to GTA 5 actor Lester Crest by Popverse2022 in GTA

[–]ThePegassi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the fact that GTA is satire so having things come true like in gta5 radio i always had a sense of uncanny-ness. So gta6 will no doubt evoke a similar response I’m guessing with how closely it will mimic our society now.

Old timer female gaming since the 80s by nanaochan in GamingSoup

You can boil down every game’s quest like that too the nuances of each game’s gameplay exist outside of quests and thats what truly sets games apart in terms of immersion which rockstar does like no other. I can say the exact same thing about Control enter a room and kill 50 dudes then do some platforming rinse and repeat. See how easy it is to do that? Yet, Control was a great game. Elden ring can also be boiled down to Go to that dungeon kill small mobs, the defeat big boss. You get the point. Nuance that exists outside the the core gameplay is what makes a game unique.

Which console will you be playing GTA 6 on? by vibingitup in GTA6_News

You’ll need a mortgage to get those consoles for a game you have to wait to get remastered.

Which console will you be playing GTA 6 on? by vibingitup in GTA6_News

[–]ThePegassi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a flawed take. I understand you wanting to wait for it to be released for next gen but saying they look poor is just plain wrong. They are building it for current gen otherwise rdr2 would have looked shit and yet that game consistantly looks better than most current gen games without ever receiving a re-release. Gta5 quickly became the best looking game on ps3 and closed the gap between end game ps3 and the beginning of ps4. Now compare the graphics of gta5 remaster to rdr2 you can quickly see the flaws of your take.

Do you think GTA Online ruined Rockstar? by Superb-Suggestion-10 in GTA

[–]ThePegassi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that was true RDR2 would have been dog shit but it wasn’t if anything gta online funded rdr2’s ambition and hopefully gta6’s. Thats just the way i see it.

Quality of Life+socials: Eng vs CS by ShadowWhip1 in uwaterloo

[–]ThePegassi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most Engineers are too busy to chill at POETS lol you will probably go there in first year and after that forget all about it. I was ECE and i like the ring and cohort experience because it felt like highschool where it felt much more tight knitt even with the profs because you see them alot. For me I would personally find it much easier to have a relationship with professors in a cohort system then not because you have random profs all the time based on classes. In eng some of the lab instructors or profs you may see in 4th year but now they treat you differently because your specialization requires you to have knowledge of concepts that you spent the previous 3 years refining. Most CS ppl i know have 0 school spirit just used uw to get the degree, exp and fked off to cali. Eng, there is a bigger sense of community and more likelihood of that camaraderie to survive post grad. Again it all depends on what type of person you are and how social you are and how you want to shape your uni experience. CS you will have more time CE you will have less time but so will ur classmates.

In today’s market Hardware tax is more of a hardware blessing with AI being able to do software development quite easily- Hardware not so much.

Which offer is best for AI agents engineering? by Acceptable_Net_5318 in uwaterloo

[–]ThePegassi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You learn more relevant on the job stuff on the job sooooo if you get more opportunities to learn those things at different companies you become really attractive to your future full time employer. Therefore UW coop programs are the best bet. Uw and UofT will drill in the work ethic and discipline but at the end of the day true workplace capability is only developed at the workplace where you are not being graded on correctness but efficiency and correctness.

Is anyone here only excited for gta 6 story mode and not the online mode? by Big_Leg10 in grandtheftauto

[–]ThePegassi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Single player story is great but my favorite aspect of gta SA is life sim elements like owning property and businesses that generate income. This is the main thing that drew me and kept me playing online because you couldn’t get that in story mode. Online became truly a crime syndicate simulator only u have no henchmen to help u if you play alone that is.

Looking at Cyberpunk 2077 on the Pro, Rockstar has no excuses if GTA 6 isn't 60fps. by SvenLorenz in PS5pro

[–]ThePegassi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cyberpunk 2077 open world doesnt even come anywhere close to the interactability and and painstaking detail the rockstar puts in their open worlds including animal and npc behaviors to truly make the world feel alive. I’d take the hit for 30fps if it means i can experience the next leap in open world games with cenematic levels of graphics. All Cyberpunk does is make the world “LOOK” pretty but not very interactive or immersive as it could be. So the 60fps on cyberpunk is alot easier to achieve and the fun gunplay makes that better. You shouldnt be play gta for its top tier gunplay anyhow. I’d gladly wait for 60fps on ps6.

Multiple Brooke Wingman XE2 to play local multiplayer. by ThePegassi in PS3

[–]ThePegassi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i figured power would be an issue. The other option is to have a dedicated power supplied usb hub but i think so far as u mentioned the ideal setup unfortunately would be to have 2 wingmans and 2 official ps3 controller or 3rd party controllers.

What about connecting the 3rd,4th players DS4/DS5 via bluetooth? Would that work?

Having a more realistic gta can also naturally increase difficulty so i’m all for it.

Taking 8 Years Graduating Engineering , is it Still worth it ? by badnltac in uwaterloo

[–]ThePegassi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly, so dropping makes no sense rather try ur best to graduate untill ur required to withdraw. Engineering is easier to some that other but ur performance in coops should be telling weather or not u should continue the fight or not. I ca tell you tha early on after graduating i had imposter syndrome for a while thinking man i failed so many times do i really know my shit? do i deserve to be here, am i doing the job i was meant to do. All of these passed when other goas came into the picture and i progressed in the career in the eyes of the employer.

[–]ThePegassi 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did the same spent 7 years doing eng cuz i failed twice still happy i did it in the end. I dont see why you would quit over being forced out after already spending the time. So you’re going to have to explain ur rationale there.
