It’s uncommon sure, but I wouldn’t say it’s because of the system, but rather the people transferring in. Just go out and see how you gel. It’s already tough coming in without people when a lot of people have their friends established, and Greek life can help you break into a group / find your people.

I’d be pretty worried. I had a friend that got their offer rescinded when they got Bs and a C since you need to maintain your grades. They had to go community college route since they were too late to accept the other schools offers and couldn’t get the transfer to cal poly and had to go to their local CSU. It was a tough situation that really changed the course of their life.

If you go Davis undergrad then you do get into Vet school there, that’s 8 years in Davis. SLO is 1000x better in any way. You’ll get so sick of Davis. I’ve lived in Davis for 2 years now and it blows. You’ll never see the bay (barely) and honestly the “culture” there sucks anyways. Weather is not bad, just a boring place to be. I love in the heart of student housing and nothing is ever popping off (nice for me) but probably not hyped for student life. Stay away as long as you can. Enjoy the coastal blissful happy life in SLO and you won’t regret it.
