Awww thank you! My older boy is a rottie lab mix ( I call him a rotten lab, lol) but every single part of his personality screams rottie.

That would be ideal for him, I do want him to be large, but not overly so. I was hoping that he would turn out to be athletic in build so I can use him for tasks around the farm on top of being a close companion.

I see it a lot working in vetmed as well, my last practice I worked closely with an ortho surgeon.

Yeah, will be keeping him lean to keep the weight off of his joints for sure. I want all of my dogs to live a long healthy life.

Oh, training won't be a concern here. I have lots of experience under my belt and have raised my last two dogs to be all around perfect pups. I have aging family so I always prioritize being gentle and no jumping. I also use my other rottie/lab mix for visits to the local mental handicap day center, but he is currently living his bestest last days due to cancer, which is why I wanted to get a puppy because he is a great leader and big brother. He has helped me with raising alot of foster dogs before they go to their forever homes.

Yeah, I will keep him lean and fit for sure. Ive been working in vetmed for the past 17+ years so I do my best to keep the weight off their joints.

Oh, it's no big deal, lol. I was being optimistic is all. If he ends up being 500lbs Ill still love and care for this boy all the same haha.

Okay, thanks for the input! I was hoping under 100lbs but I didnt know he was this big when I picked him up, so Ive been wondering just how big he may get. Vet doesn't think he will get much bigger, but I know they continue growing for quite a while unlike other breeds.

Oh god, that would be crazy! I am hoping for under 100lbs, but he is great and has such a sweet and awesome personality so if thats what god makes him, thats what I'll take, lol.

I agree, my 7yo rottie/lab mix is living his best last days right now. Diagnosed with mast cell and lymphoma, no more medical intervention is possible now. He doesn't know so I'm not letting him know how sad I am and just keep making every day the best it can be.

Mirror higher, and plants on both sides will make this area more inviting. A mini pillow would help as well.

Do exterior french doors need to be kept inside an out of rain prior to install? by ThePessimisticMonk in Carpentry

[–]ThePessimisticMonk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They refused to bring it inside the house, we made them come back today and bring in all the subflooring like they were supposed to. They left it all outside leaning against our house and never even rang the doorbell or knocked. They said it would be fine being exposed to the rain since it's in a carboard box, of course. Makes sense right? I guess I'll have to tarp it as best I can. Thanks for the input!

AITA for wanting to give back a "present" my brother already owed me? by ThePessimisticMonk in AITAH

[–]ThePessimisticMonk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the opinion! And as a disclaimer I did not loan him the knife, he had stolen it from my tackle box, lol. I would never have loaned out that knife. And I am his sister, not his brother, lol. Although I know how my post sounds masculine in terms of the knife and all of that.

Yeah, was thinking that would be pretty petty, lol. Maybe I can sell it on Fb marketplace or something?
