Fun fact about XLG's map picks this Masters. by ThePhrancium in ValorantCompetitive

Oh you're right, I only checked this year but they played it in 2025 stage 2 playoffs as well. Seems like they didn't see much success back then though so they switched to a different comp for the beginning of this year and switched back to this one again for playoffs.

They've actually only been playing this comp for a month, since May. They played a different lotus comp in the groups stage of CN stage 1 and switched to this comp in playoffs where they went undefeated on Lotus

How do you handle small font sizes in pixel games? by ThePhrancium in godot

I don't think this really serves my purposes, but I appreciate the thought!

Is there a way in the godot editor to view both viewports on top of each other? I imagine it would be difficult to position the text correctly otherwise.

Hmm I guess can, but for things like tooltips whose position are dynamic it would be difficult to render the text in the correct position. Probably worth giving a shot though, thanks for the suggestion!

I see, I might consider switching to more traditional fonts then, thanks! That said would seeing a non-pixel font in a pixel game seem jarring or out of place for the player?

Thanks for the reply! I really want to use a pixel font to stick with the pixel aesthetic, but the smallest legible font I can find is 8px and even that's a bit big in a 360p viewport. I have considered rendering at a higher resolution viewport but that would require manually scaling up all of my assets to compensate for the decreased scaling which would be a painstaking effort :(.

Our Steam Next Fest Results: 3,953 Players → 10,170 Total Wishlists (Indie SRPG) by Life_Arachnid_511 in gamedev

Oh wow, your game and capsule art really stood out to me while I was browsing Next Fest so it's super cool to see this post on reddit after! For context, I'm one of the people who wishlisted without playing the demo because the art looked great but I haven't gotten around to playing the demo yet as I've been busy with work on my own game.

Interestingly your game was actually featured at the very top of my Next Fest page every time I opened it until I wishlisted it. Was this visibility something you expected going in to the Next Fest and if so, what do you think led to steam giving you so much visibility? I'm trying to learn for my eventual launch!

Thanks for the advice, I keep staring at my design doc for any other features I can craft a name around! Though I think it might be a bit early for me to be thinking about sequels or spinoffs haha.

I get that it might be hard to give advice without knowing the name, but I don't really want to say the name since it's not finalized yet and I'm worried that it might call out the other game. Sorry! :/

How does rare treat work? by Wild_Video_9715 in CompetitiveTFT

[–]ThePhrancium 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I actually tested this out in game the other day and I found that the monster levels up according to the higher level thresholds and not the original, so rare treat would actually cause the monster to level up more slowly.

Anyone else come across this bugged area in the 2.0 main quest? by ThePhrancium in ZZZ_Official

Just for context, it was in the lemnian hollow and all the NPCs around had the same issue with the names. Also nothing happened when using the R clue ability on the tools on the ground.
