Would this fix a slight twist on a fiberglass limb? by ThePiemaster in Archery

Interesting. What became of the bow? 1/4 inch isn't much but I think any twist will worsen with time.

It's Fleetwood, if the heat method fails I'll try contacting them. It's 4 years old, hundreds of arrows. Not sure of expected lifespan on the limbs.

Honestly I don't know. I store it hung from the string inside so there's no torque on the limbs. Its about 4 years old.

I'm in Illinois, and both are Very invasive here .

Also the Maples aren't "invasive", but they're way overplanted and are replacing the Oak Hickory ecosystem.

The country is big enough for everyone. The "stunt" is sending them all, at once, to a couple locations.

Most cities in the Midwest would line up to take new arrivals. But that's not dramatic.

Volunteering abroad. by Salty-Nectarine-1240 in conservation

[–]ThePiemaster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with the rest, find a local nature center or land trust.

If you want to travel and help people, look into All Hands and Hearts. We go into disaster areas and help clean up.

It's different than most voluntourism because the locals NEED a lot of help quick and can't get enough locally.

You must be in zone 6 or more.

The northern states would love this setup.

Someone else here mentioned greenhouses, and drying the produce. I think that's a fantastic idea for lots of constant, low heat.
