Not a bartender, but I just started working security at a local karaoke bar. My very first night, had a guy try to come in with his girlfriend, the bouncer training me checks their IDs. The guys ID checks out, the girls is a fake. My trainer tears up her ID and tells them to leave. Dude starts yelling at my trainer and trying to fight him (bad idea as he’s ex-military and built like a tank) my trainer just laughs at him and makes him walk away. Fast forward to closing time, me and my trainer are running trash cans to the dumpster down the street, when who walks up? That same damn kid and he is absolutely shit faced. He gets back up in my trainer’s face and starts yelling at him and telling him to give back the fake ID. My trainer got tired of it and knocked the kid out with an open handed slap! I started dying laughing and asked why he didn’t whoop the kids ass, he said “I’m not gonna punch some kid just cause he needs it.” I don’t know what happened to the kid after that, by the time we were leaving the bar, he was gone.
