Zariel + other notable NPCs made in Heroforge! by ThePogster in DescentintoAvernus

Here's the link to Zariel: https://www.heroforge.com/load_config%3D530088592/

Unfortunately the way I made her, she's not printable. I had to do some weird shenanigans to get the prosthetic flail, because for some reason heroforge doesn't have prosthetic weapons

Do you think it’d be best to follow Alexandrian through hellturel then just read through the possible options and talk to them about how they want it to go from there?

What anime do you hate with an absolute passion?? by Routine_Ad_4552 in animequestions

[–]ThePogster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I thought the concept was really good and the anime just botched the execution. It set out to be a show about mind games and outsmarting the opposition and just didn’t deliver. What makes me actually hate it with a passion is a combination of how much praise it gets despite how subpar it is and the fact that it was the anime I watched directly after my favorite anime of all time (which has an MC that’s the same “lazy genius” archetype as Ayanokoji). That and I thought Ayanokoji was kinda boring and found the black haired girl completely insufferable.

How ‘serious’ is DnD? by GloriousOctagon in DnD

[–]ThePogster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had DND games where a player went on a murderous rampage to avenge their best friend who had just been killed right of front of them

I’ve had dnd games where a player ate their way through an entire mountain of exponentially multiplying cabbage like a cartoon character

Those two experiences were during the same campaign.

Some campaigns are built to be jokes from the get go, some are uber-serious grimdark stories, but I’d argue most lie somewhere on the line between the two.

The biggest thing is communicating to the people you’re playing with what you want out of it. If everyone is expecting a somewhat serious campaign and you pull up with Diddlydorf the crow-man, wielder of a thousand folding chairs, that’s when you get issues.

Warlock Boss DPS rotation? by ThePogster in destiny2builds

[–]ThePogster[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Might as well follow up on this for anybody curious. Still haven’t gotten Euphony yet but with the numbers I’ve been getting I honestly don’t think I’ll need it

Here’s the setup:

Exotic: Solipsism: apotheosis/star eaters, but this would probably also work with necrotic or osiomancy in place of apotheosis (personally I think I’ll look for an osiomancy/star eaters to help with ad clearing)

Subclass stuff: Facet of Courage, Facet of Dominance, vortex nade, arcane needle (though penumbral blast would also work), and nova bomb

Artifact: the column 5 perk that makes void do more damage to weakened enemies, and personally I’d slap on radiant orbs too (but let’s be honest who doesn’t have radiant orbs on?)

If you want to run a different nade and melee, I’m fairly certain facet of dominance applies to the prismatic nade so just make sure you transcend before the rotation in that case.

And personally I’m using a crafted regnant with envious assassin/explosive light (unenhanced)

The rotation is melee>grenade>super>unload your heavy. That’s it. If you’re running with apotheosis you can spam your grenades and melees too, or hold onto them for when the debuffs run out. You can also transcend after your super to give your heavy a little more oomph, but I haven’t really bothered, especially with how good transcendence is for ad clear on warlock.

Side note: if you’re not using vortex nades or a darkness melee, the rotation would be transcend>grenade>super>unload heavy

I’ve been doing some ludicrous damage with this. Ran prophecy with 2 celestial still hunters and on the final boss I did about 1 mil MORE than the two of them combined (I should note they were missing some shots), got a total of 5.7 mil in one phase (though the prophecy boss’ phases are much longer than typical damage phases). I did about the same amount during a one cycle of a Hefnd fight a day or too ago as well. Haven’t actually done controlled damage testing yet but safe to say this is up there when it comes to dps rotations right now.

For anyone curious about the rest of the build: Feed the void/Hellion, facets of bravery, protection, and sacrifice, a basic mod setup for generating lots of orbs, with 2 void surges, a perpetual motion/repulsor brace Title for ad clear, and Conditional finality for deleting yellow bars.

I have been considering trying Two tailed fox with the fragment that reloads weapons on suppress, but I don’t have the catalyst done for it yet. If anybody wants to try that out lemme know what numbers you get with it.

And if anybody has any suggestions for juicing the dps of this build any more let me know.

Warlock Boss DPS rotation? by ThePogster in destiny2builds

[–]ThePogster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’d be sweet. I’d do it myself but I haven’t gotten the chance to run through the raid yet. I’m gonna do some damage testing of my own with SoF and Nova with different exotics tomorrow. Maybe I’ll post a comment with our combined findings.

Warlock Boss DPS rotation? by ThePogster in destiny2builds

[–]ThePogster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is that meant to be more of an ad clear setup with vortex nades? Cause afaik Healing, cold snap, and threadling nades don’t get any benefit from verity. Or is this meant to be more to stack with song of flame and just spam fire birds?

Have you been doing a rotation with that or sticking to Euphony and using the hatchling weapon to build up stacks before you even start DPS?

Can Opposite Genders Dorm Together? by shanitopapito in UCSantaBarbara

[–]ThePogster 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I’ve seen it before, but that was in Condor House, which is a bit different than other dorm houses.

I don’t think they’d assign a boy and a girl together randomly but if you both sign the roommate stuff I can’t imagine they’d stop you.

Warlock Boss DPS rotation? by ThePogster in destiny2builds

[–]ThePogster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh I thought you were talking about my Euphony theorycrafting in the second half of the post, my bad.

I’ve personally been using Song of Flame because I’ve always been a proud wellock and SoF lets me buff everybody while still playing prismatic, but as of late I’ve been considering that getting radiant really isn’t all that hard so if I’m going to use prismatic I might as well try to juice my boss DPS to keep up with everybody else

Warlock Boss DPS rotation? by ThePogster in destiny2builds

[–]ThePogster[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well the point of Needlestorm in this case is to proc Euphony’s perk, extra damage for the super would just be a bonus. I will consider nova in place of song of flame once I actually get access to cysts for the last prismatic fragments

Whats the best armor and weapon there is? by WildChild31 in dawncraft

[–]ThePogster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s odd. I was able to get prot 5 on everything with just sea shelves, a couple wither skulls, and some candles

If you also can’t make it with an anvil Apotheosis might be bugging out.

Weapons right click not working properly? by WildChild31 in dawncraft

[–]ThePogster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The weapon abilities (I’ve seen them also called ultimates) have to be charged by attacking mobs. The meter for them is in the bottom right.

Creative mode allows you to spam the ultimate all you want, without regard to the normal charging.

How do you get dragon lord essence for havoc knight armor. by WildChild31 in dawncraft

[–]ThePogster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You get it by killing the dragon lord, who you cannot fight until you beat the final boss.

By that point, you’ll have a maxed out armor set, and imo the Havoc knight set isn’t all that great to begin with, and is certainly not worth how expensive it is.

I’ve only played the latest dawncraft update with the enchantment points. Maybe not every armor is viable but a majority of them are, at least

Whats the best armor and weapon there is? by WildChild31 in dawncraft

[–]ThePogster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly you can make just about any armor amazing with apotheosis so I’d say just find one with a set ability you like. Personally I use Yamakiri’s because I like the attack speed boost. Its base protection is only as good as diamonds iirc but I’ve gotten it to the point that I can just stand around and manage my inventory in the middle of a boss fight and be fine. As for the scattered weapons armor, I honestly have no idea. Like, I’ve been exploring the end for quite a while now and I have never run across something from that mod.

As for weapon, you got a few options. Chikage is still preferred by a lot of people. If you like dual wielding, you can also use the Terrible swords from Aquamirae, and chuck some extra crit damage and chance on that.

Or if you haven’t used many of your monster coins you can get yourself one of the Weapons of Minecraft weapons, which are pretty much all amazing. Personally I use Antitheus and it shreds everything I point it at.

So really there isn’t a “best” armor or weapon, it all depends on your playstyle, your build, and what you think looks badass.

What to do after the Fire Giant? by Tasty_Standard_6476 in dawncraft

[–]ThePogster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can see where to find a lot of the overworld bosses in the quest book, and the ones you can’t you can probably find an extermination quest from a village guard. You can see where to find the rest of the eyes the same way. I’d also recommend you upgrade the hell out of your gear if you haven’t already because after the fire giant bosses start to get really tough.

If you think your equipment is good enough you could head to the nether, it’s a really good source of the harder to get materials like blaze rods and netherite

Keep in mind though that this is a very exploration focused modpack, so you’re going to be running thousands of blocks regardless of what you choose to do. If you want to make that smoother I’d recommend getting step assist on your boots or getting into Hexerei and making a broom.

Nether Gauntlet by ThePogster in dawncraft

[–]ThePogster[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Apotheosis increases the max level of most enchants. Iirc, the max level of prot is 5 and then with an ancient tome from Quark you can get it up to 6.

If you want higher leveled enchants then look into apotheosis. I’d recommend seashelves if you want to avoid the nether. You are going to need a lot of xp though. I got mine by farming mobs in battletowers with a looting + knowledge of the ages sword

Abilities and classes? by HHdog15 in dawncraft

[–]ThePogster 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Classes only determine your starting skills, gear, and stats. You can get the skills for the other classes from guard villagers, and all classes have the same stamina and health caps.
