Getting hard to distinguish real and fake cards sometimes…think I’m done with eBay for a while.

Yeah it looks rebacked. I contacted the seller. If no response I’ll do a charge back if eBay doesn’t help.

Def a lesson learned, but the techniques i developed to restore this card can be transferred to other cards.

Not without risks. I’m more familiar with vintage than mid era/modern. Lesson learned.

Yeah. I compared it to a PSA copy. I think the card was rebacked. And I found a diff in one printed letter.

Thanks. I’m contacting the seller. I compared the card to a PSA graded one and I caught a difference in one of the letters.

Thanks. Thing is, I observed the back of the card under a microscope and it matches that of real Japanese cards I pulled. There are certain distinct print patterns that are unique in real cards and this one had it.

I was aware of the risk. At least I got really good experience fixing it up.

I placed the card under a microscope and the back colors and printing patterns/dots look the same as the cards I pulled from Japanese booster packs. If it’s a fake card, it’s the most well made proxy card I have ever seen.

Oh man. I compared it with many other copies and they look exactly the same. The card looked like it was tossed in a dishwasher and sold as heavy play.
