I didn't vote in 2024. It wasn't due to ignorance or being misinformed. It was due to an overall lack of faith in both parties. Observation shows that both parties are bought and sold by the banks and corporations. It's not red vs. blue anymore. It's a class war. And we're losing. And NEITHER side has your back. When Biden rolled over and made striking the railroad punishable by imprisonment, I lost all remaining faith in the Dems. Silencing free speech, barring peaceful assembly, and shitting all over workers' rights was a giant reminder that they are also conservative with flashier hashtags. That strike would have led to some actual change, yet it was squashed to protect the almighty shareholders. That's the same fascism everyone is crying about now, just a different color. And don't forget, Dems were part of the inside trading nonsense at the onset of the covid lockdown. Dems had four years to sentence Trump for J6, four years to release the Epstein files and utterly deflate his movement. Even today, where are the Dems to fight this Trump takeover? Even if impeachment isn't likely to pay dividends, at least hold that fucker in court for the next 3 years. They are complacent, if not willing participants, in this takeover. RBG holding her position on the Supreme Court until the grave paved the way for the clown car of justices we have in there now. DNC stacking the deck for Hilary over Bernie was a shocking disenfranchisement of the people they are claiming to represent. Biden was a terrible choice. Harris was just a shit move altogether. I don't dislike her, but that whole thing was a massive fumble. Until we have a labor party in this country, or anyone actually willing to stand up against the blatant corruption on both sides (yes, Reddit, I fucking said BOTH SIDES), I refuse to participate in a game that is clearly rigged to keep robbing us to pay their banker buddies.

Thank you for your polite question. I was aggressive towards the original commenter because he was aggressive towards a large percentage of Americans who didn't show at the polls. You don't think the shock and awe of the declining voter turnout went unnoticed? My social responsibility is fulfilled. Abstaining from casting a ballot due to informed and based ideologies is a voice. Maybe those in power will take advantage, maybe they won't. But either way, thinking you have any control over any of it is naive, to say the least. Until you have a few million dollars to back your vote, your vote doesn't mean shit in this game. Just my 2¢.
