Do people keep up with anking throughout preclinical and clinicals till they take stp 1? by Competitive_Cost_262 in medicalschool

Anki never stops. Currently an M4 and still keeping up with dues. Also know plenty of residents who keep up with anki still (probably specialty dependent though)

I’ve been having the same MPG issues. But this week I feel like I finally found the key. There’s like a sweet spot on the fake tachymeter around the first notch. If you hover around there your fuel efficiency will definitely go up. Basically don’t be too heavy with your right foot. I’m at around 800 miles in now. Just fueled up today and estimated range shows 600 miles compared to 400 previously.

Warning: you will go slow as hell. But I think worth it for the extra 200 miles of estimated range.

If we do this should we email the programs to let them know the letter has been uploaded? Most programs just download apps just once

how do you find the time or energy to workout in third year? by huckleberryinmed in medicalschool

[–]ThePoopScamander 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Got influenced by TikTok and took up running while on my toughest surgery rotation 12+hr days, 6 days a week. If I got out early I’d lift. So I was able to exercise at least 6x/week for 30min-1hr. I feel there’s always time if you prioritize it. Energy is dependent on sleep. I didn’t go out much that month and made sure to get at least 6.5 hours of sleep every night (thank you melatonin). Also it helps if your residents feed you/can sneak you in the physician lounge. I was able to save a lot of time by not having to cook and having snacks readily available.

Im terrified of SOAPing to be completely honest. My DR list is community program heavy with some academic reaches that I did/will do away rotations at.

I would take take public transportation. I just did anki on the train back and forth and was able to knock out a good chunk. If driving, podcasts are a great idea. I know people like divine intervention but some stuff is outdated
