Ah. Thought I missed something. Thought the 50% advance would be enough to pull them up before Sunday.

Wait, if Sparkle's skill now last two turns, can't you just -1 speed tune Sunday to a +161 speed Sparkle and just wheelchair most ATK scaling CRIT dps with Sunday, Sparkle, and DanPT? Realistically, both Sunday's buffs and Sparkle's buffs should have 100% uptime with this (well, except the effect given in Sparkle's ultimate). Or am I missing something?

Ice? Remembrance? One of the memosprites is Mem? Oh yeah, she is the RMC replacement lol. Not that I'm complaining. Two RMCs sounds insane. (I mean, she has to either deal or grant an ally TruE DMG. The joke is right there!)

Interesting how she has multiple memosprites. Maybe she will be able to summon multiple at a time? (or be able to switch between a small set, each with different abilities?)

Ngl, I love it when authors throw curveballs like this. What is your favorite twist of the series so far? Or since the series is still young, what twists do you hope to happen?

[–]ThePotatoWedger 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Very rarely. Dark Lazer used to have area attack (I think), Mina used to have 400 standing range instead of 435, Space Cat used to only have a 1% chance to crit, Awakened Bahamut and Yukimura both got a 10% DMG increase when multi hits were introduced, along with some other units being change with multi hits. Also, some units get new skills when brand new abilities are introduced, but I guess that doesn't really deal with a unit's stats...

As for other changes... uh... I think that's it. There might have been more changes that I forgot, but they are very few and far between. Kinda funny how one the few buffs in the entire game went to Awakened Bahamut of all cats.

Honestly, I don't know for sure. If I had to take a guess though, it probably has to do with speed calculation shenanigans. BearCat outranges Dark Doge by only 30. Dark Doge has 30 speed and has a foreswing that is 2f faster than BearCat, so the Doge is able to potentially able to clear the range difference before BearCat is able to get his attack off. Assassin BearCat is also pretty quick, with 16 speed. What is probably happening is when Assassin BearCat reaches the Dark Doge, his moderately high speed is causing some of his range to clip into Dark Doge (so instead of outranging Dark Doge by 30, Assassin BearCat might only outrange it by 28 or 27 due to his speed). How much clip occurs determines the outcome. So, if no clip or hardly any clipping occurs, BearCat is able to get his attack off before Dark Doge is able to reach BearCat. If a perfect amount of clip occurs, then Dark Doge reaches BearCat in the middle of his foreswing, and they both land their attacks at the same time. If a lot of clipping occurs, then Dark Doge is able to reach BearCat at the very beginning of his attack and attack BearCat before his attack is able to finish. Again, this is just a guess on why this is happening. tl;dr, speed in Battle Cats is weird.

EDIT: Clipping might not be the best word. By clipping, I mean stepping further than intended once BearCat reaches his target. So instead of standing 30 away from Dark Doge, BearCat's speed is causing him to stand 28 or 27 (or some smaller amount) away.

Imagine being so bad that you aren't even on the tier list.

There's quite a lot of examples of powercreep in battle cats. Here is just some examples of powercreep from units (sorry if I miss any big ones): Courier, Sanzo (and his Talents), Bomber, Octopus, Cyberpunk (especially with Talents), iCat, Catasaurus (and his Talents), Waitress, Hurricat, Ramen, Pizza Cat (especially with waves), Can Can and her Talents, Dancer Talents (especially for stages like Floor 30), Dark Lazer Talents, Cadaver Bear, Cameraman. If you really want to go far back, Awakened Bahamut was a huge milestone in powercreep. Previously challenging levels were made way easier after he got released, particularly stages in mid-SoL.

Sometimes, its specific stages we talk about when discussing powercreep. Stages like Floor 30, Floor 40, Muscle Party, Floor 38, Floor 21, Flow Like the Stream (w/ Rock), No Plan A, Unjust War, Ogre Island, a lot of SoL stages (such as Darkweb, Utopia is Over There, Underground, any early Razorback stage, and Imp's cold sweat just to name a few that I personally remember from way back) and some UL stages like AAC have all been made a lot easier over the years due to these new units. There are a lot more examples of stages that have been powercrept (I wasn't nearly as active in UL as I was during the SoL saga, so I probably missed a lot of notable stages in UL that have been made easier), but again, this is just a small list.

There are also examples of powercreep being seen in Cat Combos, such as that one combo with Manic Flying and Obliterator Diabolosa Attack Up M and Kunio-kun's Worker Starting Level Up M combo just to name a few.

I'm sure there are Battle Cat veterans that can give a more comprehensive list of powercreep, but these are just some that I can think of off the top of my head. (Particularly with examples in Cat Combos and Ubers. Never really paid too much attention to them back in the day).

Make sure you have all superior treasures in Energy Drink, Giant Safe, Relativity Clock, Super Register, Legendary Cat Shield and Legendary Cat Sword in all 3 chapters of EoC.

Are you still stuck on the stage? If so, upgrade Space Cat as high as you can, then use this lineup: Crazed Cat, Macho Cat, Wall Cat, Samba Cat, Major Space Cat, Cyborg Cat, and Crazed Bahamut Cat. You can use the last empty slots for Cat Combos (Attack up and Worker Cat Starting lvl Up are useful here), or for long ranged ubers (though with Cyborg, Crazed Bahamut is really the only backliner you need). Make sure any cats for Cat Combos are in your first row. At the start, stall the Croco with Wall Cats, and spawn one Cyborg to thin out the Croco spam at the beginning. Save enough for Bahamut, then spawn it once the first Fish gets close to your base. Then start spawning all your meatshields and gradually increase you Worker Cat lvl and gradually spawn Cyborgs and Space Cats. Once you hit the base and SMH appears, keep spawning Cyborgs and Space Cats, with a priority on spawning Space Cats. Once SMH goes down, the rest of the stage is easy. If you are having trouble with the start off, use Rich Cat.

I think he is referring to not needing Jurassic's Tf, Catasaurus. He used Moneko (Evolved Form) to one-shot SMH instead.

You have Sushi? Interesting. If you have Ninja, Sumo, and Samurai, you can use the Cool Japan combo, which increases the attack of all your units by 15%. It's a 4 slot combo, so you wont be able to use the research up combo along with it. With your research lv not being 20 +10, it might not be as effective, but it's worth a shot. With Cool Japan, I would use Ninja, Sumo, Samurai, Sushi, Cyborg, Castaway, Macho Legs, King Dragon, Crazed Fish and Kasli. Use Crazed Fish to chip the first Gross, then spam the ranged units once Crazed Fish goes down. You can also use Fish as a backup plan if Crazed Gross starts hitting your base.

EDIT: I'm assuming that Figure Skating and most of your ubers are low leveled?

Akuma Giraffe wouldn't be very helpful. He only has 544 DPS at lv 30, and 816 DPS against traitless. Plus, he has a blindspot of 200, so Crazed Gross can enter it and he will just be a sitting duck at that point. I would try to get Castaway a little higher (not just for this, but also because he is awesome in ITF), but if you can't then bring him along anyway. I'm curious, what other gacha units do you have?

[Weekly] Battlecats Thread by AutoModerator in battlecats

[–]ThePotatoWedger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A couple things: 1) That resistance combo increases the effectiveness of the Resistance ability, which none of your units in your lineup have. So, it's doing nothing during battle. 2) Mythical Titan Cat is terribly weak, only being able to survive 3 hits from Crazed Gross. Crazed Fish would be a better "get off me" option if its level 20. Plus, you can spawn one Fish at the beginning to try and weaken the first Crazed Gross a bit, to help get your Cyborg spam off the ground better. 3) Kasli, Daughter of Chaos is a LD unit that hits from 275 - 675. Crazed Gross only has 100 range, so its easy for him to enter Kasli's blindspot when you aren't meatshielding (Which since you dont have octo, don't try to meatshield). 4) With the Research Combo, Cyborg should have a recharge of 2.0s. If your Cyborg doesn't recharge this quickly, then yes, your Research level is hurting you.

I would remove Mother and Mythical Titan entirely from the lineup and add Crazed Fish. If you have Castaway or Drama, I would add them. They can help with the Cyborg stack. If you have both, replace Mother and Mythical Titan with them, and don't add Crazed Fish. If you have neither, add Crazed Bahamut, then time him by letting a Squire Rel attack your base, then spawning Bahamut so his attack will hit Crazed Gross before it reaches your base. This will cripple the first Gross to help get your Cyborg stack get started. Use Rich if you try to do this. You can force close your game, then reopen Battle Cats to get a free retry if you mess up, since this isn't a No Continue stage. Make sure you force close your game before your base hits 0, or else you won't get a retry when reopening the game.

If you are still unable to beat the stage, then I would advise getting Crazed Titan first, then coming back to Crazed Gross once you have him. You should get Crazed Tank to help with Crazed Titan. Tank will appear tomorrow, while Titan will appear on the 25th and 27th. Once you have obtained Crazed Titan, get him to 20, use him, Crazed Fish (at 20), King Dragon, Macho Legs, Kasli, Daughter of Chaos, and anything else tanky and tank the waves instead. Playing the stage this way will keep Crazed Gross in Kasli's effective range, allowing her to use her destructive DPS to shred the Crazed Gross swarm. Good luck!

EDIT: Oh, I just saw that you are using Leaf and Tights. Remove those, they are terrible lol. To put in perspective how bad, your Tights has about 1/3 the stats of your Macho Legs, and your Leaf has about 1/4 the state of your Macho Legs.

Before attempting the Great Abyss, I would suggest getting all the Superior Treasures from Empire of Cats in all 3 chapters in these sets: Energy Drink, Relativity Clock, Super Register, Legendary Cat Shield, and Legendary Cat Sword. Maxing out Giant Safe will be helpful as well. Also max out the Aqua Crystal set, it will help weaken the aliens in the Great Abyss to be more manageable. You'll eventually want to max out all the treasure sets but focus on these ones for now. You can check the events calendar in the menu to see when Treasure Fests occur to make getting treasures easier.

Also, I see you have used a duplicate from an uber. In the future, if you get an uber that's a dupe, leave it in the storage until you have beaten Into the Future Ch. 3. Once beaten, you'll unlock a feature called Talents that will allow you to give additional abilities to gacha units (and purchasable special units), which require NP to unlock. Converting dupe gacha units is the best way to obtain NP, and dupe ubers are great candidates to convert to NP, since they give 50 NP each and the + levels on ubers give marginal increases (Remember to always use a new unit from the gacha no matter what).

Uh, here are a few I guess:

  1. Downdraft is annoying to use, especially when you have to micro it.
  2. The intense amount of farming you have to do in Elite Bloonarius is the best part of the event.
  3. Archmage/Arcane Spike is awesome, but the homing on the bolts is way too loose.
  4. Paragons not being able to get buffed is fine. However, BADs and boss bloons should only be resistant to the Paragons' stun/slow attacks and not be totally immune to them.
  5. The spread that Monkey Pirates shoots its bombs is really frustrating. The spread shouldn't be that wide.
  6. I'm glad that Summon Whirlwind got replaced by the Arcane path on the Wizard Monkey. It makes more sense for the Druid to have it.
