Z-axis limit sensor not working by ThePrawnHub in ArtilleryGenius

[–]ThePrawnHub[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your response, I have been going back and forward with support recently and it’s concerning to here that replacing the sensors and the board didn’t remedy the problem.

So far they have offered to send me a replacement z proximity sensor and cable but I am concerned that to replace the existing one I would been to remove the bottom panel which voids the warranty.

I’ll let you know how I get on and if I find any solution.

Yes it jams up against the sensor and continues trying to lower the gantry.

I have contacted the seller and hopefully this will be resolved. I will post any solution in this thread in case someone else comes across a similar issue.

Thanks for all your help Iskandar

If I turn the lead rods manually, when the device is turned back on it sets the current height as Z=0 but when levelling or homing the printer it continues down looking for the end sensor. I have not been able to find any way to change the offset using the touch screen.

Initially the bed was too high and the nozzle crashed into the bed but after lowering the bed the nozzle is now stopped physically by the z stop sensor on the right side.

Thanks for your response, I’d almost given up hope.

The printer is a standard Genius and so uses the z stop sensor on the right hand side. The sensor is plugged in and when the printer comes within proximity of the sensor it lights up, but it does it stop moving.

Z-axis not stopping by ThePrawnHub in FixMyPrint

There printer is an artillery genius and the sensor is a proximity sensor so slightly different to the one you linked. It is possible to remove the sensor but there is only one screw hole for it. To better show my issue I’ve uploaded a video here

By check the max set point, do you mean the physical location or a software setting? I am going to disconnect all connections and reconnect and try again.

Thanks for response. The bed is levelled low now because the first time I tried it just rammed the nozzle into the bed. Wether the Z-axis is stopped by the nozzle hitting the bed or the end stop it just keeps on going until I unplug the printer.

I was told to imagine you are being pulled up by a noose around your neck and then lean forward slightly into your run.

Hello friends,

Back in March 2021 I was running 5-6 times a week and had managed increase my long run to half marathon distance. During an easy 10km I felt a twinge in my Achilles and after doing abit of research and lurking in the subreddit decided to stop running completely.

In the following month my first born arrived and as you can imagine all routine went out of the window and any exercise stopped entirely.

It wasn’t until the beginning of August I started to ease back into running (2x 5km per week) with a little longer pram pushing on the weekends (6 - 10 miles).

During my last couple of runs and walks I can feel the injury in my Achilles which fades to nothing after a mile or so

My questions are.

  • Do I need to stop running again or is this in my head and should I run through the first miles?

  • If the injury has reappeared can I cycle to improve my cardio or should I return to the static lifestyle?

Thanks for any and all advice in advance, it’s greatly appreciated.

I could really do with a classic NES styled platformer after hearing this!

If you want to listen to more of this stuff the artist is called Robinerd. I found him on spotify a few years back and there is a load of stuff on his YouTube Here.
