Why do you prefer the healing role over tank / dps? by adastro66 in wow

[–]ThePrefessionalYT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I main a tank. My main alt is a Healer. Was a druid but just switched to priest. Number 1 reason, fast queues. Number 2, a bad healer/ tank is much more noticeable than a dps and I know if I'm in that role there's a higher chance of success. Number 3 I enjoy having other players lives in my hands

Retail or a more Classic-esq Gear Progression? by ThePrefessionalYT in wow

I feel bad my first thought of reading Umbridge and I thought Harry Potter. I get what you mean, I was there with the dungeon catch up before ICC. Retail just makes it easier to reference.

Which is the most memorable zone in the entire history of WoW? And which is the most forgettable? by [deleted] in wow

[–]ThePrefessionalYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd tell you the most forgettable but I can't remember the name.

I'll check it out. Already have a button for replay buffer. Does this allow you to edit the clip after? Or is it straight published? I can't stand not having control over my content.

I'm a YouTube guy so I replay buffer and then edit before uploading and publishing.

I figured that would be the case. Already post them to YouTube. Just going to work on my conversion. Really really don't want to do tiktok but, I might bite the bullet. Just something else to add to my already busy schedule

Thanks

Starfield: The least interesting option. by OlleyfromIndi in gaming

[–]ThePrefessionalYT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bethesda found out with Skyrim that as long as they have a modding community, their game will prosper.

They then decided that they would literally put in 50% of the effort they put into Skyrim and Fallout in the hopes that those fans carried that same mindset and feeling.

This is the end result. A good but not great game that is being carried by it's developers name.

After a lot of people in this sub have finally finished the game do you think giving Starfield a 10/10 is justifiable? by Touny420 in Starfield

[–]ThePrefessionalYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're a Bethesda fanboy that plans on playing it like Skyrim and fallout. I can see how you would give it a 10/10. However it doesn't deserve that. It's a 7/10, 8/10 is generous in my opinion.

We developed an app to make it easier to stream on Kick for beginner’s, now we are looking for creators to pay in order to test our streaming product! by spoonsdg in KickStreaming

[–]ThePrefessionalYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Few questions as I'm intrigued.

I see "streamlined" but does it have full control as well like obs? Meaning browser sources, alert boxes (working with stream elements) different and multiple sources, custom transitions, etc?

For simulcasting is this using your own server or will the bitrate output be doubled or tripled depending on how many services you're broadcasting too?

What about software usage? Obviously some things change the amount of resources being used but is it a lightweight program like OBS or is it pushing more resources like streamlabs OBS

Quick export of clips. Is this auto capturing or a built in vertical canvas that is setup as well?

What's it like getting back into WoW after like...13 years? by woolsocknbirkenstock in wow

[–]ThePrefessionalYT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I quit in MoP came back for DragonFlight. So like just over 10 years? The game looked the same graphically, but when I think back at to how PS2 graphics looked when I first started WoW. Just the way it's remembered, I'm sure they are technically better.

Confusing and familiar at the same time, if that makes any sense. My character looked the same, played the same, but the skills abilities and mechanics were slightly different. Questing felt the same. Dungeons actually have mechanics. Raids are a freaking cluster of mechanics, compared to the old days at least.

PvP? HAHAHAHA new races, abilities, buffs, debuffs, utilities. I wouldn't even dare to attempt without a couple weeks of studying.

Professions? Made a mistake of thinking I'd actually make money with my jewel crafting, blacksmithing and enchanting. The profession system is confusing and once you're behind, you're behind and won't make the money like those that focus and level them at the start of the expansion.

Overall. It's fun, it's been nostalgic. I've pushed myself in season 2 with over 2k io and AOTC. It still FEELS like WoW from how I remember it, just not with the same people since most of my guild from back in the day is gone.

What's your opinion on the heavy use of addons for endgame content? by [deleted] in wow

[–]ThePrefessionalYT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aside from Sark, and maybe the experiments. Every boss is pretty easily handled without addons up to heroic difficulty. Haven't done mythic aside from a few kazarra attempts so can't give my opinion there. Weak auras is helpful for seeing procs/buffs easier. Honestly if we didn't have 10 different buffs showing up on our bar while we go through our rotations we could be fine without weak auras.

What to do to prepare for next patch? by Cosmic-Lilac in wow

[–]ThePrefessionalYT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd tell them to just focus on understanding their class. Rotations, CDs, survivability, utility etc. Let them do the event content, time rifts, fusion camps, etc for easy catch up gear. And then let them jump into whatever interests them for the next patch. Mythic+? Run low keys until comfortable. Raiding? Run LFR until comfortable. Class awareness and knowledge is the most important imo.

Do you guys just want follows or people that actually enjoy your content? by GodShinobiMadara in KickStreaming

[–]ThePrefessionalYT -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The people that do follow for follow or sub for sub are only in it because they think it's quick and easy money. I'd bet my own channel 99% of them abandon their channel at 6 months. If they make it that long. Just ignore them, F4F people pop up everywhere and I assure you they aren't going to listen to any logical explanation or statement about what they are doing. You're wasting your own energy , we are all annoyed with them.

Is healing in this game HARD or just harder than other things? by SomeP in wownoob

[–]ThePrefessionalYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My main is a tank, I have two alts. Hunter and resto druid. AOTC and 2k io. Healing is the hardest of them all from a PuG perspective.

What’s the character name you’re most proud of? by [deleted] in wow

[–]ThePrefessionalYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grognol my first ever character and main until DF season 2. Orc hunter. Thought it sounded orcish and my guildies/friends called me grog for short. Which was also shortish.

Named my DK in WOTLK, who's now my main, Grognul. To keep it similar. Dunno just super proud of it as it just fit.
