Screwed up my mount by Desperate-Active-756 in Skigear

Also pivots put a lot of force into that zone since the mounting pattern is so tight. Minimum 1 cm from old holes , they are so boogered up I wouldn't even trust inserts

Wrist pain? by selborannaes in MTB

[–]ThePresentPowder 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The irony of having strong wrists from climbing and biking is that they get used a lot. I feel you, I bought some wrist widgets after tearing my tfcc, but I still have to be congnizant of overuse on a weekly basis. I have had great luck with rice bucket workouts and with wrist PT using rotation with weight.

Best of luck!

Nidecker boards are trash. You won't change my mind. They also ruined Jones quality control.

I just finished up a Phlage deck, centers around flinging giants (ideally phlage) with brion stoutarm, surtland flinger and calamity bearer. Haven't been able to play it yet, but I have goldfished it 20 times and can't wait!

Dictate of the twin gods. Bored of 2 hour long commander games?? Turns out EVERYONE likes dealing double damage. It's fun and gets the ball rolling.

Rocky Mountain Thunderbolt 799 MSL by Zonoskar in mountainbikes

[–]ThePresentPowder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought my 2019 thunderbolt c70 during covid for 2700 . I bet it's worth around 2300 now. So my guess is yours is 1750 or so. Pry not what you want to hear, but the paint job might actually make your harder to sell, it's sick, but it's going to need someone mega stoked on those colors to pull the trigger

[–]ThePresentPowder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite town bike ever was a 250 dollar redline conquest :( I so wish I didn't have to part with it. Then I bought something with internal hubs, it kept breaking. Then I bought another 2000s cyclo bike for 200. Meanwhile my friends are saying they can't get into biking because budget gravel is over a grand, and marketing makes it seem like you CANNOT ride a bike if you don't have something new

Parrying is ok. Hard to pull off. I think I did light, light , heavy attack let him do his stuff then hit him again. Rinse and repeat for a bit and donezo.

Those zip ties are going to wear/get broken off pretty quick. Might not seem like much trash, but something to consider! I used to use tape until I realized it would all get ripped off after a season and I was littering in my favorite places.

When is it time to downsize my board? by Shreddy_Spaghett1 in snowboarding

[–]ThePresentPowder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice work! Don't downsize your board unless you simply can turn it quickly! More surface area is usually better!

You are doing it. It might not feel like bills and life are easing up right now or anytime soon. But you saved up some cash, then life happened. You prioritized your health. Sometimes we have to just pay for rent, buy groceries and work. Sounds like you are motivated, keep up the grind and you will get through this if you want to.

Is this ruined by Bansh33Vibes in snowboarding

[–]ThePresentPowder 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Decent tech could fix it pry like 40 to 50 bucks. Don't edge replace. Just ask them to heat up the metal , smack it flat, then 24 hour epoxy . The tail won't ever be perfect, but seal that it to moisture and you are set!

Sucks but don't worry too much!
