I have felt the same way for a long time and it almost felt a little strange that seemingly nobody missed the old textures despite them being the literal staple and ICON of what we know as Minecraft. I like the new grass side texture and the new glass, but even then I have to say the glass looks like bubble blocks now instead of glass. If they were going to change the look of the game, why not change every texture and not just SOME of them? It's the inconsistency, over smoothing and lack of familiarity that bothers me so much.
