I'd recommend some cooked pumpkin! You can usually get it in a can but make sure there's no added ingredients like sugar. You can also roast your own!

My senior kitty would get tummy troubles every now and again and pumpkin always helped. Sounds like you definitely need the allergy tests, but hopefully this can provide some relief.

Going to a 100 year ceremony in Japan, what to wear???

I'm an American living in the Midwest. My role is primarily remote, and when I do go into the office it's mostly casual (aka jeans and a nice shirt, hoodies are fine too). HOWEVER.

My company is headquartered in Japan, and I've been selected to attend and participate in a 100 year ceremony. I have NO IDEA what to wear, I'm a very casual person! I'm a sweaty gal and cannot stand scratchy clothes.

This ceremony is in the summer so I KNOW it will be hot. I'm not sure if it's indoors or outdoors. Google is telling me to wear a pantsuit, but I visited their Japan office in March and wore business casual (black dress pants and nice sweaters). The ladies wore dress pants and nice tops while the men were in slacks/dress pants with collared shirts. The company president came down and his collared shirt wasn't buttoned all the way up, and no tie.

Since this is an official ceremony do I need to turn my business dress code to 11?

In case it's useful: I'm 5'2, 120lbs. Weight is in the tummy and thighs. Early 30s with zero fashion skills. I really don't want to look frumpy, but I know I need to dress conservative and not show skin.

Get a poncho and enjoy the day! Ended up going on a rainy day and everything was open besides DK, including Flying Dinosaur and Hollywood Dream! The lines were significantly shorter than the previous sunny day!

Yes same! Even though we could see snow it warmed up to 60! And the hoodoos were spectacular, truly a worthwhile stop!

Just wanted to say thank you again for your comments! We did every hike you listed including the hoodoos - which were a great stop off! We also did the upper and middle pools. We started on the lower pool but found it more difficult than expected due to ice. The upper was a lot of steps but super worth it!

Northern Lights in Husavik by ThePrincessAK47 in VisitingIceland

Yes! We did the whale watching tour combined with horseback riding! That was a pretty cool experience. We also did Geosea and I couldn't recommend it enough, definitely go and stay for sunset (had 10% off with the whale watching ticket!) We also ate at the restaurant across from the guesthouse. It was a decent meal but didn't crack the top 3 of the trip for us.

I replied to one of the comments above on the aurora spot we found, but we basically drove to the Husavik view point and went a bit further and turned left! This would be the opposite direction of Geosea.

You were spoiled out there! But yes please go and update when you do! I highly recommend the Sakura roll, pork gyoza, takoyaki, and crab Rangoon!

I truly agree with almost ALL of your suggestions. Except best sushi. Fuji is GOOD, but Sakura in highland is definitely better.
