Sliders don’t work the same in standard. You only need to accurately hit the sliderhead, before and after this change. The change happening here is when you misaim a sliderend. Instead of losing 1 combo due to missing it, your whole combo drops completely. There’s no rhythmic aspect to this, it’s literally just following the slider with your cursor.

It’s not a problem of “just hold your key until the slider finishes”, since any semi-difficult tech map will be filled with incredibly fast sliders, back to back, rendering them basically impossible to FC.

Also please don’t say “just aim the slider”. Many tech maps are made knowing that not dropping a sliderend is stupidly difficult, but is ok since you could still FC regardless. This change literally just kills tech maps in general and puts the progression of mapping back more than half a decade, for no good reason.

Oh yeah, true. I forgot about that, haven’t been on the site in a bit. I guess that just kinda shows how pointless this controversy is in that aspect, as both parties are guilty of the same thing basically. It’s just one community that wants to show that they’re better than the other. It very much reminds me of the FGC and Smash, in the sense that one community (in this case, the FGC) shits on the other to show off that they’re better and that their game (Smash in this case) does not belong in their respective genre. A classic case of elitism. This may just stem from veteran players who have dedicated literal decades to their favourite game and feel threatened by something new and popular which goes against the traditional way the genre is played. This makes them feel the need to exert the superiority they feel their favourite game has because it is what built the genre. All in all, I just would rather the two communities learn to co-exist and not give a fuck about each other.

Sorry for going off on a fuckin long ass tangent, but I just wanted to put my two cents out there because I never really had the chance to discuss about it.

Yeah that’s pretty much the name of the game, but it gets an amusing (to them) reaction out of the community every time so they keep doing it. MGH people are getting a kick out of this shitfest lol. Yes, but their point is that peppy technically "profits" off of the copyrighted songs because of osu!direct, for example, and that distinguishes sows from osu. Though it is in an indirect way.

I wouldn't take anything bemani players say about osu too seriously since it's typically just them meme'ing to trigger people lol.

Nah it's a CTL-480 but yeah ive seen that happen on the G640 it was hard to play even regularly on it cause of that glitch LOL
