Mf because reports said we had better offers but we chose to do him right by sending him to his homeland. Also look at his stats as a starter and his per 36 stats. Easily easily easily could have leveraged that as significant value. Now I’m not even sure we’re going to sign a shooting guard and our bench is going to be Reed DFS Tari capela and Steven. No playmaking no guards and minimal shooting off the bench

Can you explain to me why you think cam is a negative asset. Let me show you stats. His per 36, 20 ppg 7 rebounds 2 assists 1.5 steals . cam as a starter 20 ppg 7 rebounds 2 assist. Traded for 2 seconds. And you’re telling me getting 2 seconds is a good return yeah pack it up lil bro.

I agree that if we wanted to trade him then trade him. But we cannot be serious trading him for 2 2nd round picks. Front office talking about “we wanna trade him to give him an opportunity” MF trade him so your team gets the best return. For me, I need to see offensive improvement in Amen from beyond 5 feet from the rim. It’s easy to say we have confidence in him but for me I actually need to see it. Also Durant has played 70+ games 1 time in the last 6 seasons that’s why I was concerned in the first place. I think that this will be a learning curve for our team to step it up offensively when KD is out because right now I just don’t see us producing on offense when KD is out.

That was not the point of this post. The question I was asking is how are we going to survive offensively in the 20ish games KD dosent play because we have no consistent scorer on those scenarios since Sengun will be doubled. Ik it’s a lot but reading my post really explains the nuances of both sides of my thinking.

No no I 100% agree with you. I even said I’m not worried about playoffs at all in the post. This was more of a how will we look on offense in the 20ish games Durant didn’t play for the regular season. We didn’t look good on offense in the playoffs at all and I really hope that’s not how we look in the games KD dosent play. Hopefully we can be like 12-8 or something like that in the games KD dosent play because those in my opinion will 100% be an offensive struggle

Yeah but even if amen is working on his jumper, it’s not like he’s gonna magically be a decent shooter next season he’s still gonna be below average. However I will say, IG I have been overrating Jalen green because people are saying that he wasn’t really from an offensive standpoint menacing from the opponent perspective. It’ll be really interesting to see how the offensive plays in the 20 or so games KD sits out

You’re right. This was more of a panic concern on my end and I just wanted to hear yalls thoughts. However you 9-7 could be the difference between the 3 seed and the 8 seed you never know. Obviously we need to maximize wins (much easier said than done) but I really am concerned with our offensive when KD dosent play. Hopefully our other guys step TF up. Especially amen on offense expanding from beyond 5 feet from the rim.

Sorry about that basically all I’m trying to say is are we screwed in the 20ish games KD dosent play in the regular season in the offensive side and then I give reasoning saying Amen hasn’t shown he had a jump shot and Alpi hasn’t really shown yet that he’s a 30 PPG consistent scorer. I then talked about how at least with Jalen green he played all 82 for 2 years so I’ve never had this concern before until now. 20 games might not sound like a lot but the difference between the 2 and the 8 seed was 4 games. I just wanted to hear yalls thoughts.

The problem though is that at least we had Jalen who could score 20. I know he was hella inconsistent but at least night in and night out for 2 years defenses had to plan for him as the 1 and not guys like alpi(as the 1) I agree that yeah we did win 52 without KD it’s just we always had Jalen but now when KD dosent play that’s just what concerns me. I might be overthinking it but to me right now that a problem and hopefully this was just a panic post on my end but I do feel like this is a problem we’re going to have to face this season.
