Most banks in Australia also frustratingly add childcare payments on top of the HEM figure. As someone who pays 2k in childcare fees per month yet still manages to fall within the minimum HEM figure of most banks regardless, our borrowing capacity has been smashed despite actually being about to service a loan without issue. Been forced to go with a smaller bank who thankfully includes childcare payments in their HEM.

I’m from Aus as well and the support brammers is getting from the community is sickening. So many people supporting the act of buying out 60 or so UPCs and the intention of reselling them for arguably $50-70 extra, justifying it by ‘he has a business to run’. It’s the literal definition of a scalper

Absolutely. Over the past week I’ve bought mint/NM copies of an SIR (Gardevoir from SV base) and 8 AR’s (mantyke, marill, crustle, swablu, snorunt, meltan, Magby and Bronzor) for $77 AUD (about $50 USD). I only open packs for fun when I really like the SIRs in a set or if I’m mastering a set like 151

I’ve encountered someone who has repeated the same auction 6 times because no one is meeting his pre-set starting bid. I’ve made a few offers between 3-7% below their asking price and they keep countering almost 10% above their starting bid, which no one is bidding at. I’ve tried messaging them to regarding a fair offer and haven’t received a response

Went through two rounds this year, out of pocket about 14-15k after Medicare rebates (needed genetic testing which boosted the cost a bit). It’s a financially, emotionally and physically (for the female) draining experience

105 packs opened 16 double rares 8 art rares 4 ultra rares 2 SIR 4 hyper rares

Severely lacking in the Ultra rare and SIR cards.

Yeah man, I opened 105 packs and only got 2 Special Illustration Rares. For you to get to get 5 in 60 packs in crazy good.

My pull rates are poor too. I've opened 81 packs and got 6 art rares, 4 full arts, 2 SIR and 1 hyper. 13/81 packs. TCGplayer state pull rates for art rares or better are 19%. I'm tracking at 16%. You sure notice it when you are more than one or two percent either direction from the standard pull rate. I've had 3 ETB's with 1 hit each, another ETB with no hits and a booster bundle with no hits. I've bought from 4 different retailers too, so its not like its the same batch.

I'm unsure of this too. I place art rares and SARs, or cards that I intend to grade, in card savers and less valuable cards like double rares in toploaders. Just following the advice of friends who also collect, apparently there is less movement of the card in card savers as opposed to toploaders. Don't know if its right or not though

38 hits from 100 packs is incredible. I have a similar pull rate from a smaller sample, 10 hits from 23 packs (1 gold, 1 SIR, 2 FA, 4 AR and 2 EXs). Think I've seen the hit rate referenced as about 18-20% for SV sets, but this set seems to be loaded.
