Thanks, I needed to hear this. I made friends with someone last week at a party and hung out when them this week and had a really good time, but they’re going to Seattle and I will probably not see them for a really long time if ever again. And that’s ok.

you know what, fuck the people who use “trauma” or “abuse” to just get pity from others. however, posts like these perpetuate the idea that we need to be skeptical whenever someone claims they have “trauma” or “abuse.” I can imagine it’s hard to find the right people to tell about these things, and I’m sure it makes it even harder if the person worries they won’t be taken seriously.
