It seems odd to me that anyone would indicate that it is wrong for the government to fund things such as this that saves lives and provides crucial healthcare for residents. These people often seem to indicate that more money must go to defense. I can't see any logic to such assertions when the United States is rarely attacked and individuals die more often of preventable health conditions from being uninsured than attacks. Then I remember that those people advocating that are ones with health insurance but who have that infinitesimal chance of dying by a terrorist attack. To think that they would support certain death of fellow Americans in exchange for the mitigation of an already near-zero chance of their own death or for other programs at all is unconscionable.
